Nick Martin signs to Armada Music and releases “Shackles"

Dance music veteran Nick Martin has signed with Armada Music and has unveiled his newest single “Shackles.”

Martin’s first output on the legendary imprint transports listeners to the heat of summer with rolling synth cascades and delicate percussion accoutrements with newcomer songstress Natalola’s sinuous, sultry vocals tying the feel-good track together.

“I’m very proud of “Shackles”. Every step of the creation of this record has been magical for me as a producer. I’m grateful to be part of the Armada Family and excited to share this song with the world,”Nick Martin 2017

“’Shackles’ is the kind of record that can really get the whole scene buzzing. We strongly believe this track to make a difference in today’s electronic music landscape and are thrilled to find out how big its impact is going to be.” - Maykel Piron, CEO of Armada Music

Nick Martin has been soundtracking your club experiences for two decades. Having DJed along superstars including David Guetta, Alesso, Avicii, Axwell ^ Ingrosso and Hardwell, the Greek music-maker has spun his high-octane brand of beats in the finest clubs across the globe. Emerging on the scene as a turntablist, Nick spent the early days of his career DJing on vinyl, lugging crates of white label promos before finally making the switch to USBs in 2011. Shortly after, Nick began producing music and released his first original work in 2013. In 2014 he got his first international DJ gig at Marquee Las Vegas, while in 2015, he released his first international hit “Red Lion” via Sander van Doorn’s acclaimed Doorn Records. Most recently, Martin teamed up with Australian producer Tigerlily on “Skyline” which has received support from artists such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Benny Benassi and Galantis.

2017 is the year the Nick Martin takes it up in gear. In addition to his recent signing with Armada Music - home to Armin van Buuren and many more of the world’s elite dance music talent - Nick is supporting multiple Grammy-nominated superstar dance act The Chainsmokers on their European winter tour.

The Bearded Man imprint on Armada Music represents a brand-new direction for the line-up. This label is for music that’s completely “outside the box”, and the word “genre” doesn’t mean anything here. Any tracks that are world-class will find a home on this sub label, from Electronic Pop to Deep House, Chill Out to Electronic, you name it. Only when he reaches the Billboard #1 spot, will the Bearded Man finally shave his beard...

Rain Man and Krysta Youngs' "Habit" Gets Remixed by Morgan Page, EXSSV, and More

Rain Man and Krysta Youngs present The Remixes of their crossover collaboration "Habit." Grammy nominated Morgan Page brings his signature peaktime sound with a euphoric progressive house number (Dancing Astronaut Premiere), while Dim Mak young guns T-Mass and EXSSV each offer fresh future bass makeovers. Akari also goes the melodic route with his breathtaking indie-dance version, before fellow newcomer Impala delivers a wonky downtempo interpretation. Coming in with bass-heavy reworks are LA producer INDO, who offers up a fierce moombah / electro remix, and Dack Janiels & Wenzday, who morph the original into a massive dubstep bomb. DUCKY rounds out the bundle by dialing up the BPM in her hyper nightcore edit.

Habit (The Remixes) builds off December’s Habit (Remixes Part I). Soon after the release of the initial volume, Dim Mak wunderkind T-Mass saw his remix become a hit, garnering support from The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and Borgeous, among others. Contest winner Akari received a similarly impressive influx of support for his soaring indie / electro rendition, including heavy-hitters Don Diablo and Deniz Koyu. Further accolades for the bundle came from Galore, Noiseporn, and YourEDM, who wrote that Dack Janiels & Wenzday’s mammoth remix "makes our hair stand on end and our jaws drop, as it should.”

Rain Man dropped the original “Habit” during a fruitful year for the Chicago native. With his ability to craft hits around powerful female vocals on full display, his preceding single “Bring Back The Summer (feat. OLY)” proved to be one of the biggest electronic tracks of the year. The single was named one of Apple Music’s Best of Tracks of 2016 and recently surpassed 18M streams onSpotify. In addition, Rain Man helped celebrate Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary with performances in Miami, Chicago, and back-to-back shows at New York’s Electric Zoo and Las Vegas’ Wet Republic.

Zookeepers Unleash "Kill My Speakers" On New Noise

Danish duo Zookeepers arrive on New Noise with the aptly-titled "Kill My Speakers," a rattling trap stomper with ruthless dubstep wobbles slicing through deep 808's.

Since releasing their debut EP AMAYA, Zookeepers have made a name for themselves with a wicked, no-holds-barred trap sound. Following their frenetic unofficial remix of NGHTMRE and Boombox Cartel’s “Aftershock,” they secured a placement on Trap and Bass’s Favorite Picks playlist before they dropped “Ark,” a standout collaboration with fellow bass producer Ship Wrek. “Ark” proved to be a hit, garnering 13.3M collective streams online and gaining support from Diplo, who dropped the track on his renowned Diplo & Friends radio show. With a live persona as electric as their hard-hitting sound, Zookeepers also flaunted their stuff on the touring circuit last year. The duo threw down at Distortion Festival in Copenhagen, one of the largest annual gatherings in Europe, and also supported heavy-hitters Yellow Claw and Don Diablo in their own backyard of Copenhagen.

New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamers and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
