GALANTIS & JVKE TEAM UP ON “DANDELION”

Internationally-acclaimed collaborative project Galantis has teamed up with viral sensation JVKE for new single “Dandelion” – available now via Big Beat Records. The mesmerizing track tells a story of fleeting love with a signature sprightly beat and infectiously distorted vocals.

“’Dandelion’ came about after JVKE requested to hop on a Galantis Instagram Live. I recognized him from TikTok and I asked him what he was up to. He said he was working on an idea for a song and started to sing it for me. I really loved the vibe and he asked if I was down to work on it together. We ended up sending it back and forth and it became this natural organic collaboration with no real plan or goal. “Dandelion” marks the latest in a series of several genre-bending Galantis collaborations – most recently including “Tu Tu Tu (That’s Why We)” with NGHTMRE & Liam O’Donnell and “Pretty Please” with Jackson Wang – in addition to remixes for the likes of Pele (“Acredita No Véio” feat. Rodrigo Y Gabriela), Brando (“Don’t Call Me”) and Falling In Reverse (“Popular Monster” with NGHTMRE). Meanwhile, JVKE’s debut single “Upside Down” quickly became one of the biggest TikTok songs of 2020, generating over 15 million videos and over 7 billion plays on the app, in addition to a remix featuring Charlie Puth.

DAVID GUETTA & MORTEN REWORK THE FLEETWOOD MAC CLASSIC “DREAMS” FEAT. LANIE GARDNER

After eight monstrous Future Rave collaborations racking up over 140 million streams, David Guetta and MORTEN are back with a rework of Fleetwood Mac’s all-time classic “Dreams,” featuring rising star Lanie Gardner. They bring the 1970’s standard onto the modern dance floor, drenched with emotion. Guetta discovered Lanie’s cover of “Dreams” on YouTube which has over 7 million views and counting. He immediately fell in love with Lanie’s rendition and invited her to feature on the Future Rave remix. She delivered a powerful performance that is paired perfectly with David and Morten’s razor-sharp production.

Gardner’s smooth-as-silk, soulful vocal strains are drenched in sustained bass tones and a dizzying synth arpeggio that slowly reveals itself. The track builds powerfully and imperceptibly to its crescendo as a stuttering, bleeping riff cuts through the mix, recalling classic ‘90s trance bangers. The drop lays on a crisp beat, punctuating the brooding bass perfectly. Another enormous breakdown pushes us to the final stretch, where the groove and the vocals finally unite in an ecstatic release of tension.

This is Guetta’s first cover since 2014’s “Shot Me Down” featuring Skylar Gray — his rework of Nancy Sinatra’s sultry “Bang Bang,” which has amassed 760 million streams to date. This one has all the hallmarks of another Guetta smash with the addition of Danish DJ/Producer superstar MORTEN, and which looks set to introduce Fleetwood Mac’s classic to a new generation.

Guetta recently delivered an incredible set for the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs ceremony livestream, with every single track in his set produced or remixed by him. It marked a new era in his career, showing a huge global audience what his Future Rave sound is all about. The thousands of positive comments on the YouTube stream showed that he is winning many new fans as well as delighting old ones. His latest global smash “Let’s Love” with Sia recently hit #1 on the U.S. Dance Radio Chart, #2 on the European Radio Chart, #6 on the Shazam Global Chart and is nearing 100 million audio and video streams.

ELEKTRA GIVES BACK & ATLANTA’S CENTER STAGE HOST “FEED THE CREW!” FOOD DRIVE

Elektra Gives Back and Atlanta's Center Stage have teamed up with Musically Fed to host the “Feed The Crew!” holiday food drive on Friday December 11, 2020. The contactless, drive-through event benefits Atlanta music industry professionals affected by the COVID-19 Global Pandemic and touring shutdown. According to NIVA, the National Independent Venue Association, the Independent Venue and Promoter Industry is experiencing 95% revenue loss, while 95% of employees are furloughed and 90% of venues are at risk of bankruptcy. Elektra Gives Back recently launched as a philanthropic, employee-led resource group at Elektra Music Group, and “Feed The Crew!” will be its first, official charitable undertaking. Musically Fed is a 501(c)(3) Organization dedicated to mobilizing the music industry in the fight against hunger by donating unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry and food insecure. Since the pandemic, Musically Fed has shifted their focus to taking care of those in the music industry who are out of work without live events. ENTERCOM has signed on as the radio partner for the charitable event.

Adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines, safety requirements, and social distancing protocols, “Feed The Crew!” is scheduled to run 10am-6pm on December 11 at Center Stage (1374 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309). During this time, volunteers will accept donations of non-perishable foods to be distributed among the local music and production community responsible for live gigs in the area. Those interested in donating may pull into the garage free of charge and leave their items with staff. For completely contactless drop off, industry volunteers can alternately pick up items from your trunk. A list of items suggested for donation can be found below. Donations are set to be distributed the following Friday by Musically Fed.

As organizer for “Feed The Crew!”, Elektra Music Group Regional Director of Promotion Darrin Schnur said, “Music fans aren’t the only ones who miss live shows and concerts. Tens of thousands of support staff who bring these shows to life are missing them just as much, and they are in need of a lifeline right now. When COVID-19 put the touring business on pause, box office employees, stagehands, caterers, lighting and sound design artists, production staff, and security teams lost their chief source of income, struggling to keep food on the table. We couldn’t just sit by, so Elektra Gives Back joined forces with Musically Fed to help out our friends and family who make concerts happen. If you’re in Atlanta, we hope to see you on December 11. If not, please donate what you can. Hopefully, we’ll all be back in the crowd soon.”

BASTILLE DROPS GOOSEBUMPS EP

Rounding out a prolific year, Bastille surprises fans with their new Goosebumps EP today via Republic Records—listen HERE.

The EP arrives with their new single and title track “Goosebumps” feat. Kenny Beats, which was written and recorded last year in New York and in their London studio, One Eyed Jack’s. To celebrate its arrival, the band also shares the official video for the new song. Helmed by frequent collaborator and London-based British/Iranian director Reza Dolatabadi, the visual unfolds as a surrealist dreamscape with a mosaic of modernist and psychedelic vignettes synced perfectly to the immersive sonic ebb and flow and fluttering hook. Earlier this week, frontman Dan Smith joined Kenny Beats on his fan favorite Twitch show to discuss “Goosebumps” and the collaboration—check out some of their chat here.

Bastille set the stage for Goosebumps with their fan favorite single “survivin’,” which has vaulted into the Top 10 on the AAA Radio Chart and is continuing to gain steam. Additionally, the five-track EP boasts “WHAT YOU GONNA DO???” feat. Graham Coxon alongside a pair of energetic, live performances of “survivin’” and “Goosebumps” from One Eyed Jack’s.

Of the EP, Dan Smith says, “Working on these songs has been such a brilliantly distracting part of this year for us. This is the tip of the iceberg of what we’ve been doing, but it’s been fun to show people a few different sides to what we’ve been up to. Getting to collaborate with people like Graham Coxon and Kenny Beats hopefully shows the diversity of what we do across our albums and mixtapes. This EP has been a lot of fun to make, and we’ve loved seeing the reactions so far. We’re happy to have this little body of work out, and we’re incredibly excited for all that’s to come next year.”

Regarding the new song, Smith adds, “We wanted to make a throwback R&B song and something a bit more playful. We had a lot of fun writing and recording it, initially on a day in between shows whilst touring in New York last year, and then back in London at our studio—One Eyed Jack’s. We’re big fans of Kenny Beats and having met him in LA invited him to hang out at the studio when he was in town. We played each other a load of music, and he loved ‘Goosebumps’ and immediately started working on beats and sounds for it, and it kind of went from there.”

Sarah Charness-Cryorhythmic

New York-based popular electric violinist Sarah Charness released the Vivaldi inspired Cryorhythmic - an EDM/Crossover track with 240K views on YouTube in its first month. Produced by Sarah, the project is already receiving positive feedback. Her six string violin is driving the melodic lead, while the song borrows themes from the composer's “Winter” and bridges Sarah’s classical roots with her more widely recognized electronic sound. OnePhotography is the team responsible for the creative video-where we see modern ballet dancers and Sarah bringing the Cryorhythmic vibe not only as a sound but also visually.

Sarah Charness creates a singular blend of music that straddles the worlds of classical, pop and electronic dance music. Her vibrant, physically thrilling live performances continuously captivate audiences as she performs on her signature hot-pink six-string violin.
