Taiki Nulight, SMLE, and MERCE Remix Max Styler and Colt Matthews' "Heartache"

Building on the buzzing momentum of Max Styler's debut album Heartache, Dim Mak recruits SMLE, MERCE, and Taiki Nulight for three scintillating remixes of the record's title track. Electronic duo SMLE goes the future bass route, lacing bright pads under Colt Matthews' dreamy vocals while MERCE follows suit, adding a radiant cinematic touch with soaring orchestral synths. Flexing his signature dark UKG sound, Brighton's Taiki Nulight brilliantly dunks the original into a bass house batter to close out the package with a bang.

2016 saw Max Styler transform from a budding producer to a full-fledged recording artist. After dropping multiple originals on Dim Mak throughout the year, such as “Fly” “Skyline” and “Show U How (feat. KARRA),” Styler turned his studio prowess up to 100 for his debut album Heartache. The record received praises from LA Weekly, Dancing Astronaut, and Insomniac, who lauded the title song as "a languid cut that’s dripping with sultry soul.” Heading full steam into 2017, Max is continuing his trajectory of success. In just under 3 weeks, his new Dirty Audio collaboration “Roller Coaster” (on Monstercat) has already amassed 650K+ collective online streams.

Providing Max three brand new reworkings are Dim Mak affiliates SMLE, MERCE, and Taiki Nulight. With several #1 Hype Machine tracks including edits of T-Pain’s Buy You a Drink” and Alicia Keys’You Don’t Know My Name,” SMLE’s ability to craft infectious remixes has put them on the map as ones to watch in 2017. Joining them on the package is the sinister Taiki Nulight, who released his underground-leaning Sledge EP last year. Rounding out the release is rising Finnish producer MERCE. After releasing his rework of Watch The Duck’s Making Luv to the Beat,” which racked up over 1M plays on soundcloud, MERCE was called on for official remix duties of R3LL & HVNS’All 2 U (feat. Kiff).” The stunning trap VIP has racked up close to 3M YouTube views on Trap Nation.

Zookeepers Unleash "Kill My Speakers" On New Noise

Danish duo Zookeepers arrive on New Noise with the aptly-titled "Kill My Speakers," a rattling trap stomper with ruthless dubstep wobbles slicing through deep 808's.

Since releasing their debut EP AMAYA, Zookeepers have made a name for themselves with a wicked, no-holds-barred trap sound. Following their frenetic unofficial remix of NGHTMRE and Boombox Cartel’s “Aftershock,” they secured a placement on Trap and Bass’s Favorite Picks playlist before they dropped “Ark,” a standout collaboration with fellow bass producer Ship Wrek. “Ark” proved to be a hit, garnering 13.3M collective streams online and gaining support from Diplo, who dropped the track on his renowned Diplo & Friends radio show. With a live persona as electric as their hard-hitting sound, Zookeepers also flaunted their stuff on the touring circuit last year. The duo threw down at Distortion Festival in Copenhagen, one of the largest annual gatherings in Europe, and also supported heavy-hitters Yellow Claw and Don Diablo in their own backyard of Copenhagen.

New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamers and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
