Rain Man and Krysta Youngs' "Habit" Gets Remixed by Morgan Page, EXSSV, and More

Rain Man and Krysta Youngs present The Remixes of their crossover collaboration "Habit." Grammy nominated Morgan Page brings his signature peaktime sound with a euphoric progressive house number (Dancing Astronaut Premiere), while Dim Mak young guns T-Mass and EXSSV each offer fresh future bass makeovers. Akari also goes the melodic route with his breathtaking indie-dance version, before fellow newcomer Impala delivers a wonky downtempo interpretation. Coming in with bass-heavy reworks are LA producer INDO, who offers up a fierce moombah / electro remix, and Dack Janiels & Wenzday, who morph the original into a massive dubstep bomb. DUCKY rounds out the bundle by dialing up the BPM in her hyper nightcore edit.

Habit (The Remixes) builds off December’s Habit (Remixes Part I). Soon after the release of the initial volume, Dim Mak wunderkind T-Mass saw his remix become a hit, garnering support from The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and Borgeous, among others. Contest winner Akari received a similarly impressive influx of support for his soaring indie / electro rendition, including heavy-hitters Don Diablo and Deniz Koyu. Further accolades for the bundle came from Galore, Noiseporn, and YourEDM, who wrote that Dack Janiels & Wenzday’s mammoth remix "makes our hair stand on end and our jaws drop, as it should.”

Rain Man dropped the original “Habit” during a fruitful year for the Chicago native. With his ability to craft hits around powerful female vocals on full display, his preceding single “Bring Back The Summer (feat. OLY)” proved to be one of the biggest electronic tracks of the year. The single was named one of Apple Music’s Best of Tracks of 2016 and recently surpassed 18M streams onSpotify. In addition, Rain Man helped celebrate Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary with performances in Miami, Chicago, and back-to-back shows at New York’s Electric Zoo and Las Vegas’ Wet Republic.

boehm edm

Just in time for the long holiday weekend closing out the summer, Romanian wunderkind Boehm drops a sun-kissed remix bundle for his majestic track "Swallow My Pride." Viceroy kicks off the package by injecting his signature "jet life" sound with a piano-house mix before LA native PLS&TY warps the velvety vocals of Molly Moore to deliver a sparkling future bass rework oozing with poolside vibes.

Few producers have experienced such a sudden rise to prominence quite like Boehm has. Through a bevy of standout remixes, his signature production techniques eventually caught the attention of Dim Mak label head Steve Aoki, who brought him aboard for official remix duties on Aoki’s massive crossover single “I Love It When You Cry (Moxoki).” Boehm then tapped the dreamy vocals of Molly Moore for his first original release on Dim Mak, “Swallow My Pride,” which went on to be streamed over 1.7M times on Soundcloud and Spotify combined. He then released the progressive house collaboration with Steve Aoki “Back 2 U (feat. Walk The Moon),” which peaked at #15 on iTunes’ Dance charts.
