Globe-trotting trend-setters were treated to a jet-setting fashion show around the world at this season’s Alice + Olivia Spring 2019 NYFW presentation. The label’s creative director and founder, Stacey Bendet partnered with Booking.com and gave way to your international passport of the glamorous kind. Paris, Provence, Marrakech, Positano, Careyes, Tokyo and a make-believe utopian called “Wonderland” were all featured destinations presented as elaborately patterned vignettes.

Alice + Olivia signature patterns, sequins and overall glam prevailed. A ball skirt with an image of the Eiffel Tower reigned supreme - it was exquisite. The collection is vibrant in every sense of the word and is comprised of must-have separates - from palazzo pants, bomber jackets, blazers and full skirts - there is something for everyone. There (as usual) was an abundance of florals and intricate pattern, on almost everything, to keep the A+O girl happy.

Alice + Olivia Spring 2018 Ready-To-Wear

Alice + Olivia nyfw ss2018

Last season it was "Be the change you want to see in the world," and for Spring/Summer 2018 the message is, "The World needs more Sparkle." Stacey Bendet is conquering the world with positive vibes and good energy via fashion and her label Alice + Olivia. (And we LOVE it!)

This season, accompanying all the 'sparkle,' A+O gave us ruffles, florals and fringe. Dresses, shorts, slacks and separates embraced a Bohemian chic factor in a way that only Stacey can deliver.

Doggies on the Catwalk 2017

I am THRILLED to share the Doggies on the Catwalk ad for 2017! I got in the photo for the 10th year celebration. The ad will run full page in The Atlantan, Jezebel and Interiors magazines.

The shoot, which took place at Swoox in Buckhead, positions me with three amazing service dogs from our benefitting charity, Canine Assistants. Photographer Tomas Espinoza, who has shot the last two covers, has become quite the expert of working with dogs as models! I am in love with this shot...

On May 6, at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, twenty models will walk alongside service dogs and puppies to support Canine Assistants. The service dogs will be sporting their service vests and models will be dressed in the latest Spring looks from Alice + Olivia, COS, Akris, Les Copains, Kit and Ace, Theory, Monck Mason and Tod's.

Get your tickets HERE. (This event will sell out!)

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Fall 2017 Ready-To-Wear

alice + olivia’s Fall 2017 collection is inspired by Salman Rushdie’s novel The Enchantress of Florence. The collection draws from the vibrant rich settings of Mughal India and the romanticism of Renaissance Florence, depicting the story of a woman creating her own destiny in a man’s world.

Stacey Bendet has created a rich wardrobe for the global woman, a woman, who like Rushdie’s enchantress, has “forged her own life, beyond convention, by the force of her will alone.”

Comprised of an eclectic mix of pieces and a sharp color palette of reds, pinks, and jewel tones, Bendet has created a serene fantasy with notes of magic realism for this collection. In Rushdie’s novel, as in Bendet’s collection, characters are brought to life through painted stories. The Enchantress print features a representation of Rushdie’s Lady Black Eyes but with an a+o twist of #staceface wearing her signature large black shades. Intricate gold metallic beading evokes images of Rushdie’s Akbar Empire, while a leather skirt in Botticelli’s Primavera painting is representative of Renaissance Florence. Live at the a+o show, body painting artist, Trina Merry, brings the Enchantress to life using the human body as a canvas.

The collection juxtaposes feminine pieces like lace tops with dramatic bell sleeves, sequin and silk slip dresses, and ruffle skirts with utilitarian separates such as patent leather bombers, camo pants, boxy jackets, camo jackets, and cargo pants. The a+o girl will mix and match these statement pieces, pairing sequin pantsuits with statement tees, embellished floral tops with patent leather skirts and combat boots, sequin embellished mini-skirts with leather varsity jackets, and lace-up thigh-highs and embellished cigarette jeans with tweed jackets with pearl detailing. Each look embodying a woman who is both fierce and feminine.

The quintessential a+o statement jackets and shirts are emblazoned with powerfully bold statements such as “Queen” and “Be The Change You Wish To See In The World,” messages Bendet feels are both representative of the book’s message and the world right now.

Accessories further the urban glamour aesthetic through unexpected features. Handbags are a mix of faux fur totes, intricate foiled printed leather clutches, and black patent leather crossbodies in modern shapes. Shoes have a sexy edge featuring combat boots with heavy hardware accents in plush fabrics, lace-up thigh-highs, and patent leather booties.

Bendet continues building on the world of a+o with her second delivery of eyewear. The collection features shapes including oversized metallic aviators in silvers and rose golds, and signature round-frames.

Style South brings Fashion Week to The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

With two solid days of fashion shows and fashion parties, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta may have just created Fashion Week in Atlanta. The open-to-public event featured the Fall 2016 collections from many of their top retailers - talk about staying on trend with the "show now shop now" fashion movement.

On Saturday, September 17, Style South hosted the finale runway show at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Hundreds of guests and VIPs sipped on champagne at the luxury shopping destination while taking their seats and eagerly awaiting the runway show which showcased the latest looks from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, Canali, Les Copains and Etro.

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet opened the show with their signature edgy glam for the modern woman. Canali followed with a classic collection of menswear. They featured a black and white houndstooth trench that stole the show. The third collection, by Les Copains, was an ethereal show-stopper with it's lace, layering and proportion. Closing out the annual Style South with a collection of menswear and womenswear was Etro. No one mixes color and pattern more successfully and elegantly than Etro.

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta have a winner on their hands and I bet they're already planning for next year!
