Style South brings Fashion Week to The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

With two solid days of fashion shows and fashion parties, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta may have just created Fashion Week in Atlanta. The open-to-public event featured the Fall 2016 collections from many of their top retailers - talk about staying on trend with the "show now shop now" fashion movement.

On Saturday, September 17, Style South hosted the finale runway show at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Hundreds of guests and VIPs sipped on champagne at the luxury shopping destination while taking their seats and eagerly awaiting the runway show which showcased the latest looks from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, Canali, Les Copains and Etro.

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet opened the show with their signature edgy glam for the modern woman. Canali followed with a classic collection of menswear. They featured a black and white houndstooth trench that stole the show. The third collection, by Les Copains, was an ethereal show-stopper with it's lace, layering and proportion. Closing out the annual Style South with a collection of menswear and womenswear was Etro. No one mixes color and pattern more successfully and elegantly than Etro.

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta have a winner on their hands and I bet they're already planning for next year!

Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2016 / Recap & Photos

24th Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares - An Unforgettable Evening of Fashion and Philanthropy

For 2016, Kalinsky once again joined Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams in producing an unforgettable evening for Atlanta’s most stylish.  Attendees mixed and mingled at pre-show cocktail reception while they bid on an array of luxury items including timeless jewelry, watches and must-have handbags. After guests took their seats, a high-energy live auction featuring once in a lifetime experiences led up to a stunning runway show featuring Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Last year’s sold-out event raised $700,000 for Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF).

Jeffrey Fashion Cares Runway Overview - Fashion Flash 2016:

Elegance is an attitude as well as an appearance. This year, however, the theme mirrors more casual lifestyles, relevant for today’s busy women. The selection has been carefully chosen from our favorite designers of the coming season.

The basic look will be an oversized street style. It will be highlighted by designers Vetements and Marques Almeida. We continue to see the exaggeration in fit and tailoring to complement the puffiness of this comfortable trend.

Along with this new image, we have a found a velvet goldmine, showcased by designers using this rich fabric as a revival of a revered fabric chosen by royalty.

Celine impresses us with wearable garments, conceptual shapes, tunics worn overflared pants, with variations of outerwear as well. Brandon Maxwell empowers women with striking sexy, sculpted silhouettes that accent today’s evening wear.

Our key elements of oversizing are seen in parkas, capes, bomber jackets, furs and shearlings for a splendid season this fall.

The Best of Serbia Fashion Week at Art Hearts Fashion NYFW fw/16

Art Hearts Fashion welcomed the best of Serbia Fashion Week to New York Fashion Week. Designers Marina Micanovic, Zvonko Markovic Couture, and Bata Spasojevic showcased wonderful collections with European flair. Marina Micanovic opened the day with the collection "Rhythm of Asymmetric". Recognizable cuts, unusual forms, and an abundance of unique handicraft details are her personal identity in design. The artistic and innovative approach to fashion combines elements of baroque and punk with clean lines.

Designer Zvonko Markovic Couture, a couturier from Belgrade, Serbia presented a stunning collection defined by a true sense of sensuality and a certain femininity. Zvonko recently presented at Paris Couture week and is the only Serbian designer to reach such prestigious accreditation.

Designer Bata Spasojevic closed the show with "HARD ANGEL" a collection for men and women. Inspired by a mix of styles, including punk rock, rock 'n' roll and futurism, the form and construction of the clothes showcases asymmetry and sculpted design.

Through our partnership with Serbia Fashion Week we have connected designers from accross the world to showcase as part of the official fashion week calendar in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

Serbia Fashion Week is a long-term project that works to create economic development and opportunities for the next generation of Serbian fashion, accessories and textiles designers as Serbia prepares for integration into the European Union. Like the other major fashion weeks in New York City, Paris, London and Milan, the Serbia Fashion Week is organized twice a year with both Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter editions and has grown to become the largest fashion week in Eastern Europe.
