Flosstradamus releases “Came Up ft. Post Malone” remix package

Flosstradamus releases “Came Up” remix package Four new reworks of the single featuring Post Malone

Flosstradamus releases “Came Up” remix package - Four new reworks of the single featuring Post Malone

Since unleashing their latest single “Came Up” with a live performance featuring Post Malone at Lollapalooza this summer, Flosstradamus has received widespread support for the collaboration with FKi1st and Graves from both the electronic and hip hop communities. Acquiring over 1.2 million streams on SoundCloud alone since the track’s initial release, “Came Up” now receives the remix treatment from four up-and-coming trap artists.

The first track on the remix EP is a future bass remix from Jorgen Odegard, the winner of Bro Safari’s Splice x Mysteryland remix contest in 2015. Jorgen shifts the track into a more instrumentally-driven tune, using the vocals only as a hook that lead into poppy trap breakdowns. Also fusing more future bass elements into their remix, Rickyxsan’s rework slows down the track a notch with an influx of bubbly future bass synthesizers.

The last two tracks on the EP give “Came Up” a different feel, first with graves & Clips X Ahoy delivering a trapped out VIP edit ready for the festival mainstage and then with Casper and B, turning the track to a feel-good groove filled with uplifting and saccharine melodies.

Upcoming Flosstradamus Shows:

1/06: FOMO Adelaide 2017 - Adelaide, Australia

1/07: FOMO Brisbane 2017 - Brisbane, Australia

1/08: FOMO Sydney 2017 - Sydney, Australia

Ferry Corsten presents ‘Gouryella – From The Heavens’ Documentary

ferry corsten

15 years ago a movement was started in The Netherlands that would leave a sentimental connection with fans worldwide until this present day. At the very heart of that movement was Gouryella. What first started as a collaboration project between Ferry Corsten and Tiësto, shortly after became an exclusively solo pseudonym for Ferry himself, and which in 5 releases blazed a trail for electronic music that is rich in melody, arrangement and texture. It would inspire many artists and resonate with an even greater number of fans around the world. ‘Gouryella - From the Heavens’ is the official documentary that will detail the full story of one of dance music’s most revered and mystical dance acts.

Featuring appearances from industry figures that include the likes of Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond and Aly & Fila, the documentary gives a timeline of the history of Gouryella and the impact that the records have had on millions of fans worldwide. The also film gives insight into Ferry Corsten’s decision to revive Gouryella after a 13-year hiatus from the project and follows that journey up until the present. His decision to take Gouryellafrom the studio to the stage was what led to the launch of Gouryella Live with two arena shows inSydney and Melbourne back in March 2016. News of these two shows ignited a global demand for the project that led to Gouryella Live featuring at many of the biggest festivals around the globe of which included EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Ultra Europe.

In partnership with Ferry Corsten’s Gouryella, It’s a Fine Day and Symbiotic, the world premiere of ‘Gouryella – From The Heavens’ will take place at the Hawthorn’s Lido Cinema in Melbourne onWednesday January 4th 2017, where fans and industry figures will be treated to an exclusive evening screening attended by Ferry, topping off a monumental 2016 for Gouryella as we enter the new year. The stylish setting of Melbourne’s Lido cinema provides the perfect destination to rollout this exclusive event following Ferry’s decision to take Gouryella down under for the act’s debut live world premiere at Atlantis back in Autumn of 2016.

Speaking about ‘From The Heavens’, Ferry said: “Telling a story through music is one thing. Telling a story through photos, video and a narrative is another. I'm very excited that I'm able to bring this documentary onto the stage and take my fans with me on a journey behind the scenes and through the process that is Gouryella”.

Gouryella has delivered countless memories over nearly two decades. Now captured on screen for the very first time, music fans can follow the journey of one of trance music’s most loved aliases and experience the full pioneering affect that the music of Gouryella has had on the dance music community at large.

Tickets for the Melbourne screening will go on sale Monday December 19th at 10am AEDT and can be purchased via official ticket seller Moshtix.

Wolfgang Gartner releases new single 'Devotion'

wolfgang gartner

It's been quite a ride for LA/based producer/DJ Wolfgang Gartner (aka Joey Youngman). Producing and performing for over a decade, he's dropped numerous critically acclaimed dance anthems and is never afraid to explore different music styles along the way - from electro and progressive house to more funk tinged tech house.

In 2011 Gartner released his debut album 'Weekend In America' which propelled him to superstardom within the dance world and beyond. The versatile artist has also produced music alongside will.i.am, Mick Jagger, Tiësto, and deadmau5, while managing an extensive touring schedule.

Early this year Gartner returned to the spotlight with his sophomore album '10 Ways To Steal Home Plate', while playing clubs and festivals from North-America to the Ibiza isle. Turning 2016 into an amazing year, he now completes his year with 'Devotion', a track that embodies his love for vintage house music.

"Devotion is honestly my favorite song I've produced in years. I got back into the vintage house mentality that ultimately shaped my musical tastes, combined that with some of the fresher sounds that have been inspiring me lately and peppered in some traditional Wolfgang production tricks.  'Devotion' embodies all the different veins of house music that I have loved and produced over the past 20+ years.  It's an addition to my discography that keeps me evolving as an artist and exploring new territory rather than doing the same thing over and over again and playing it safe to please a fan base.  Essentially, 'Devotion' is a nod to my TRUE house music roots with a current and personal twist on it." - Wolfgang Gartner

MORTEN Releases Bass-Heavy Remix Package for “Love (feat. Mr. Vegas)”

morten edm

MORTEN's dancehall / electro smash "Love (feat. Mr. Vegas)" receives a makeover in the form of a monster remix package. Los Angeles beatsmith JVST SAY YES (Free Download) strays from his typical bass house sound to deliver a thunderous trapped out rework, premiered on This Song Slaps. The package also features a makeover from official Wavo remix contest winner Blossom, who brilliantly utilizes Mr. Vegas' vocal in her own fiery rendition.

The powerful remix package serves as a fitting end to a tremendous year for MORTEN. He kicked off 2016 guns blazing, releasing records on Monstercatand Armada before dropping the heater “FIYAA” on Dim Mak, which saw support from David Guetta, Borgeous, Morgan Page, and Kaskade, who dropped it during his main stage set at EDC Vegas. MORTEN followed with his Steve Aoki collaboration “Kids” off Aoki’s club-oriented 4OKI EP, premiered by The Wall Street Journal. He catapulted into fall with back-to-back singles, “Love (feat Mr. Vegas)” and his TWOLOUD collaboration “Certified,” which premiered on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s renowned “Smash the House” radio show before shooting to the top 10 of Beatport’s Electro House chart. To close out the year, MORTEN welcomes fresh takes of “Love” from JVST SAY YES and Blossom.

JVST SAY YES became an overnight sensation with his unique take on bass house, quickly drawing the attention of some of the biggest names in dance music. With support from Skrillex, Datsik, Jauz, and many more, he became a hot commodity to work with, eventually releasing collaborations with Torro Torro (“Give It Time”), Habstrakt (“Higher”), and Brillz (“Move Dat”). Named as one of Phoenix New Times’ “10 Best Female DJs in Phoenix,” Arizona native Blossom is paving a path to stardom with each impressive track she releases. Her production talents have not only led her to win MORTEN’s official “Love” remix contest, but also caught the attention of Ghastly, who featured her bootleg of Rusko’s “Skanker” on his Diplo & Friends guest mix. Equally impressive is her official remix of Callie Reiff and Dapp’s record “Wobble,” released on A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold imprint. Both producers broaden their horizons in a big way with their “Love” remixes, delivering massive trap tunes destined to be surefire club hits.

Botnek Drops "Buffering..." EP Featuring Snails Collaboration "ur 2 cool"

botnek

Consistently pushing the boundaries of modern sonics, Botnek delivers their blistering 4-track EP Buffering... After kicking off the package with "ur 2 cool," a mammoth "vomitstep" collaboration with fellow Canadian Snails, the duo maintains a pace of 128 with the breakbeat / electro hybrid "Simple Sounds." They also remix their own track "Losing My Mind" into a darkwave / industrial-tinged monster before closing out the EP with "Pickles!," a quirky house number reminiscent of the pioneering sound Botnek has become known for.

In an emblematic combination of Botnek’s pioneering sound design and tongue-in-cheek persona, “ur 2 cool” is currently dominating the festival circuit. The Beatport Top 10 Electro House track has attracted a laundry list of support, including Skrillex on his OWSLA Radio show, TJR at EDC Las Vegas and both DJ Snake and Knife Party at Ultra Music Festival Brazil and Japan, respectively. It also received accolades from several leading music sites, including Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, and This Song Is Sick. “ur 2 cool” arrived after a busy summer for Botnek, who made their own appearance at EDC Las Vegas before joining collaborator Snails on his vast “Slugz City” tour.

2016 has seen Botnek flourish, in what has been one of their most prolific years to date. After kicking off the year with a massive remix of Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out,” they released their Connecting? EP, which gained support from David Guetta, Afrojack, and Martin Garrix. In September, Ookay commissioned the Canadian duo to produce an official remix of his festival anthem “Thief,” and they stayed true to their roots by flipping the future bass track on its head in a grimy 128BPM house rendition. To close out the year, dance music’s top sound designers bring it home on Buffering…
