Afrojack partners with up-and-coming singer/songwriter Fais on “Hey”

Afrojack and singer songwriter Fais ?Hey?

The childhood friends unveil a lovestruck, big-room ballad along with music video starring Instagram couple Alexis & Jay

Superstar producer Afrojack is known for culling upcoming talent from the masses to develop on his label Wall Recordings, and singer/songwriter Fais is no different. The 25-year-old crooner happens to be from the same childhood neighborhood as Afrojack, and since reconnecting as adults the two music-makers have been inseparable in the studio, leading to their collaborative effort “Hey.”

The lovestruck, big-room ballad is a feel-good singalong dripping in ethereal piano chords and melodic flute solos, anchored by Fais’ thick, rapturous vocals. It’s the type of song that will touch your soul while simultaneously making you want to hit the dance floor to revel in its blissed out buoyancy.

Fais has accompanied Afrojack on his recent world tours, performing “Hey” live to throngs of adoring fans. The born musician has been growing his skills since an early age, blossoming a driving voice and shrewd piano skills which he uses to support himself and write his songs on. Inspired by the sounds of pop and soul legends like Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, it’s no wonder that Afrojack’s ear was caught by Fais’ powerful pipes.

D-WAYNE RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “BACK TO BASICS”

D-WAYNE RELEASES NEW SINGLE, ?BACK TO BASICS?

Upcoming Dutch producer/DJ, D-wayne is back with his first song of 2016! “Back to Basics”, which released last Monday via Wall Recordings is a high-energy Electro banger. The chord progressions in the buildup lead into a rockin’ rhythm in the drop with bell samples coming in towards the end. The breakdown features dramatic synth stabs and even demonstrates an orchestral vibe before leading back into the massive buildup and drop. D-wayne killed it on “Back to Basics”. You can expect to hear it in dance clubs worldwide, as this one will set the tone for the night.

At only 21-years-old D-wayne has had an astronomical music career.  He’s done official remixes for the likes of Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, and Tiësto and has even collaborated with his mentor, Afrojack. He’s graced the stages at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and clubs including Tomorrowland, EDC New York, The Mansion in Miami, Omnia, and in 2015 scored a residency at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas. One of his most recent singles, “Take U” with Alvaro hit over a combined 1 million plays on YouTube and Soundcloud.  He’s a WALL Recordings resident so we know he has a lot in store for the rest of 2016.

Juno Award Nominated Autoerotique Drops New Single “Ratchet”

Juno Award Nominated Autoerotique Drops New Single ?Ratchet?

Ahead of his forthcoming Kids Don’t Care EP, Dim Mak’s Juno Award-nominated Autoerotique unleashes the second single from the EP, the bass house beast “Ratchet.” Available now as a free download, the tune embodies its title, as Auto injects his signature dirty house sound into an arrangement of grimy wubs and mean percussion patterns.

“Ratchet” follows “AUH”, the first single off the EP that Autoerotique shared via This Song Is Sick last week. Of the record’s premiere, TSIS lauded, “Autoerotique once again delivers another high energy club ready heater.”

February’s been huge for the producer, as the Torro Torro remix of his hallmark hit with Max Styler, “Badman”, was nominated by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) for Dance Recording of The Year at the Juno Awards. Certainly a deserving candidate, “Badman” has dominated the dance floor and the web, soundtracking viral video content from Internet stars like Evelina (with 720K+ YouTube plays) and Louis Giordano (with 20M+ Vine loops). No stranger to viral beat making, Autoerotique’s “LYAOF” on Kaskade’s Arkade label racked 8 million views this past fall when Instagram/Vine personality tranceprncess posted a video of her shuffling to the beat.

Doubling as A&R for DIM MAK, Autoerotique remains a crucial part of the label’s history. In 2009, he made his label debut with “Gladiator,” a track that was remixed by the legendary late DJ AM & Steve Aoki, AC Slater and Klever. Since then, he’s remained a permanent fixture on the Top 100 charts – his landmark track “Feedback” with Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mikepeaking at #3 on Beatport’s Overall Top Ten tracks.
