Custom-Outfitted 1953 Vintage Chevy Truck Delivers Full-Service Catering Experiences Starring Neapolitan-Style Pizza

Pizza and beer lovers gathered at Wild Heaven’s brewery last Thursday, November 17th, for the official launch of Southern Crust Catering Co. in Atlanta.  Delivering unforgettable experiences via a custom-outfitted, vintage Chevy Truck, Southern Crust treated attendees to an evening filled with Neapolitan-style, wood-fired pizza, fresh salads, braised pork meatballs, house-made s’mores, Wild Heaven craft brews, games and more.  An instant hit, guests were among the first to see the 1953 truck that features a Mugnaini open-hearth pizza oven, incredible sound system and tap handles to pour local brews.  Just in time for the holidays, the full-service catering company is now officially available for private and corporate events, rehearsal dinners, weddings and more.   

To accompany an array of classic and specialty pizzas options, Southern Crust offers fresh, seasonal salads, wood-fired focaccia bread, as well as a wide variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts.  Starters like marinated olives, burrata, and pancetta-wrapped figs, and braised pork meatballs compliment a range of fresh seasonal salads including chopped kale salad, shrimp and avocado salad, Caesar, and more. Pizza ranges from classics like margherita and pepperoni to specialties like pistachio pesto; Calabrese; blanco; and butternut with roasted butternut squash, caramelized onions, mozzarella, arugula and truffle oil. House-made desserts, from s’mores and Georgia chess pie to peach and blackberry cobbler and gelato, provide the perfect ending to every meal. Looking for a creative date option, GNO or simply want to learn how to make cocktails like a pro? GRAIN, a neighborhood drink shop located in the heart of Midtown, is now hosting three Cocktail-Making Classes for two. For $59 per couple, participants will learn how to make a speciality cocktail, receive one craft cocktail each, and nosh on a sampling of light, seasonal bites from the kitchen. As an added bonus, each class will include house-made gifts to take home. Classes are at 2 p.m. and begin on Saturday, November 19, 2016 and run through Saturday, January 21, 2017. Atlas Welcomes Geno Dew as General Manager

Atlas is pleased to welcome Geno Dew as General Manager. The acclaimed Atlanta restaurant is located in the heart of Buckhead at The St. Regis Atlanta.  Offering a wealth of experience, Dew most recently served as General Manager of STK in Atlanta and has a rich history working within the hospitality industry. During his tenure with Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, Dew led teams for award-winning restaurants in Atlanta, Washington DC and Miami, as well as opening Enoteca Carbonari and Spice Market by Jean Georges.
