Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen, Mariacarla Boscono at LA PERLA flagship boutique opening in Milan

KENDALL JENNER, LIU WEN and MARIACARLA BOSCONO joined in celebrating the La Perla Fall/Winter 2017 ready-to-wear collection and new flagship boutique located on via Montenapoleone in Milan during Milan Fashion Week where LA PERLA hosted a collection presentation and unveiling event with campaign stars Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen and Mariacarla Boscono. The evening’s décor was inspired by the British garden — a nod to the brand’s most recent collection by Creative Director, Julia Haart. The stunning boutique, spanning over 2,583 square feet, came to life with a street-wide floral installation including pillars of blooming bougainvillea; cloaked in the brand’s FW17 NYFW runway video.

The historic La Perla boutique on Milan’s most fashionable street has moved to a new location at 14 Montenapoleone and has doubled its size, expanding to over 2,583 square feet across two floors.

A geometric arrangement steals the scene at the entrance, decorated with golden metal trims and the La Perla logo against a light blue background. These two architectural features can be seen throughout the flagship store, which was designed by the Baciocchi Associati Studio, as all La Perla boutiques have been since the brand was acquired in 2013 by Pacific Global Management, the holding company owned by the family of Silvio Scaglia.

The main space is illuminated by pure white marble floors, which contrast sharply with the sapphire blue carpets adorned with metallic herringbone trims, detailing that can also be seen on the dark blue aluminum ceiling. The walls are covered in powder blue panels and golden mesh accents inspired by the weave of tulle, a symbolic fabric representing La Perla style. The juxtaposition of blue and white repeats on the stunning white marble staircase and on the soft, sinuous velvet-covered seats. The refined feel of this space is emphasized by the central pillar and private suite decorated with diamond-shaped mirrors.

The upper floor is divided into four rooms decorated with display niches and gilded mirrors. These spaces range in color, from shades of lilac and amethyst to bold purple in the VIP suite, a sophisticated and cozy lounge for the brand’s most important clients.

The relocation of the historic boutique on Via Montenapoleone falls within a global expansion project involving select La Perla flagship stores, such as the Rome boutique on Via Bocca di Leone which has also doubled in size in order to accommodate the new ready-to-wear collection— reflecting the company's new and expanded offering developed by Creative Director, Julia Haart.

“RED CARPET GREEN DRESS” IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ATELIER SWAROVSKI, HOSTED ITS EIGHTH ANNUAL PRE-OSCAR EVENT TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND COMMUNITY THROUGH SUSTAINABLE FASHION

EMMA ROBERTS, PRIYANKA BOSE, MISSI PYLE & NEARLY 100 OTHER SUPPORTERS ATTENDED THE SOIREE AT A PRIVATE BEVERLY HILLS RESIDENCE ON FEBRUARY 23

On the evening of February 23, 2017, stars came out to celebrate the Eighth Annual Red Carpet Green Dress event hosted by Suzy Amis Cameron in partnership with Atelier Swarovksi, bringing awareness to sustainable fashion. In attendance were this year’s celebrity partners Emma Roberts (“Scream Queens”) and Priyanka Bose (“Lion”), in addition to actress Missi Pyle (Red Carpet Green Dress previous participant), Red Carpet Green Dress founder Suzy Amis Cameron and husband James Cameron and more. The event, also supported by Earth Friendly Products, maker of ECOS™ Laundry Detergent, had just under 100 attendees come together in support of the eco-friendly initiative at a private Beverly Hills residence. The campaign raises funds to benefit MUSE School CA, an environmental non-profit educational organization Amis Cameron founded in Calabasas, Calif., with her sister Rebecca Amis.

As guests nibbled on vegan appetizers and sipped on Absolut Elyx vodka cocktails, Red Carpet Green Dress’ Global Campaign Manager Samata Pattinson opened the evening by sharing the impact Amis Cameron’s initiative has had on the fashion industry and community. Amis Cameron followed, and shared remarks from her heart about the importance of sustainable living and her dream to inspire future generations.

“We eat food every day; we wear clothes every day, but it takes a concerted effort to help make the world a better place,” shared Amis Cameron. “But we can all do our part. Recycling clothes, eating fresh organic food-even one conscious meal a day- every little bit helps.”

One of the highlights of the evening came from the students of MUSE School CA, who shared first-hand testimonials of the impact the financial support from Red Carpet Green Dress has made on their lives.

Nadja Swarovski, member of the Swarovski Executive Board, spoke a few words highlighting the use of conscious luxury, as displayed by both Red Carpet Green Dress and Atelier Swarovski for the 2017 initiative.

The elegant affair, at which guests were able to mingle, enjoy the evening and high-quality fashion that supports a sustainable lifestyle, concluded around 9 p.m.

The event was held in anticipation of the 89th Academy Awards®, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017. In honor of Red Carpet Green Dress, Emma Roberts and Priyanka Bose will reveal eco-conscious gowns made by top designers at the Academy Awards and debut exclusive pieces from Atelier Swarovski’s first fine jewelry collection.

“LION” ACTRESS PRIYANKA BOSE TO WEAR TO THE
ACADEMY AWARDS ® IN HONOR OF
RED CARPET GREEN DRESS INITIATVE

GOWN TO BE WORN WITH EXCLUSIVE PIECES FROM THE NEW
ATELIER SWAROVSKI FINE JEWELRY COLLECTION

Suzy Amis Cameron’s Eighth Annual Red Carpet Green Dress campaign, in partnership with Atelier Swarovski, has revealed that respected fashion brand Vivienne Westwood will create a custom-made sustainable gown to be worn by “Lion” actress Priyanka Bose to wear to the Academy Awards ® this Sunday.

Bose, who portrays “Kamla Munshi” alongside Dev Patel, in the feature film “Lion”, will join her cast members and make her Oscars debut at the 89thAcademy Awards in honor of the film’s six nominations including “Best Picture.”
“It's an honor to be a part of this campaign, and help bring attention to how our fashion choices affect the environment,” shares Bose. “The impact my personal choices have on the environment in all aspects of my life is very important to me. I am excited to learn more about environmentally and socially conscious fabrics as I collaborate with Vivienne Westwood and the Red Carpet Green Dress team this award’s season. I feel humbled to have the opportunity to bring awareness to Red Carpet Green Dress’ mission to the entertainment industry and the world.”

The Vivienne Westwood couture house is a longtime supporter of the Red Carpet Green Dress initiative. The fashion house has previously created eco-friendly looks for actresses Naomie Harris and Lily Cole on behalf of the campaign in years past. This will be the first collaboration between Westwood and Bose.

The gown will be ethically made according to the Red Carpet Green Dress criteria. This can include a variety of resources such as the use of natural dyes and recycled materials to organic and repurposed fabrics- always with a focus on minimal negative impact on the environment, and environmentally and socially responsible design.

“Fashion is here to help,” says Westwood. “Buy less, choose well, make it last’ limits the exploitation of the planet’s natural resources. If you love something wear it all the time, don't just suck it all up and consume. Find things that suit you. That's how you look extraordinary."

To complete the extraordinary look, Bose will wear exclusive pieces from the Atelier Swarovski’s fine jewelry collection, made with created diamonds. The collection will make its debut on the red carpet of the 89th Academy Awards ®.

It is due to the aid of partners, such as Atelier Swarovski, and annual contests that financial security can be provided to MUSE School CA, an environmental non-profit educational organization Amis Cameron founded in Calabasas, Calif., with her sister Rebecca Amis. This assistance enables students to access a transformative educational experience. MUSE School CA ensures small class size, personalized instruction and learning practices; all set within an inspiring and beautiful campus. My NYFW Fall 2017

I made my return to New York Fashion Week this season and I couldn't be happier. Gone are the long days at Lincoln Center and I'm very okay with that. Hello Manhattan! It was fabulous to hop around the city, with my partner Alex, from show to show.

On the first day that we arrived to NYFW, timing got the better of us and we missed the Jill Stuart presentation. (So) we gratified our hunger and then hit the streets. Later in the day we attended some of the Art Hearts Fashion shows at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, followed by our support of a couple of Art Institute of Atlanta students who were showing at a smaller venue. By then end of the night, Alex and I were whipped from travel and runways and decided to turn in... of course, not before enjoying some NYC thin-slice pizza! (Don't worry, we walked nearly nine miles that day!)

The next day, Sunday the 12th, we started out at the Pier 59 Studios where we caught a glimpse of Fern Mallis and a couple of runway shows. (See runway finale videos above.) VERDAD, made its NYFW debut to a roaring crowd and Custo Barcelona shimmered with metallics and lames. These were both very exciting, chic and modern runways.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, that on the first day, as we were "Lyfted" to our hotel - ROW NYC, very very noisy place, don't stay there! - I spotted a pair of designer pumps clacking down the sidewalk to a limo. As my eyes wandered upwards, it was la fabulosa Nina Garcia! The celebrity designer sightings continued with Alexander Wang walking out of Barney's as we were walking up and a priceless visual of Queen DVF herself holding court on a white leather club chair at her showroom. Across the street from DVF is Jeffrey, so of course, we stopped in. We met up with Jeffrey Kalinsky and chatted for a bit. He is celebrating 25 years of Jeffrey Fashion Cares in Atlanta this August - kudos!!!

Monday morning began with an appointment at the Frye Corporate offices. Their offices are on the 60th floor and there was a wind advisory in effect... Yikes! So what that the building was swaying...this was one of my fave stops on my NYFW tour! The Frye Company's Director of Marketing & PR is a super genuine, gorgeous and lovely person who carved out a very generous hour+ to meet with us and show us around. The rich leather scents throughout were fabulously intoxicating.

By late afternoon, our next runway was Sherri Hill at Gotham Hall. Famous for her prom and pageant-wear, the designer presented evening looks that sparkled with sequins, beadwork and glam. Real Housewife, Lisa Rinna and hubby Harry Hamlin walked past me after the show. I recognized the razor cut hair and signature LIPS. The front row for Sherri Hill looked the the cast of Pretty Little Liars and Mean Girls.

We ended our evening back at the Art Hearts Fashion shows. I stood next to the jewelry designer for Rich by Richie Rich and had a fun chat about him and his show which I had an invite to but I wasn't up there yet.

February 14th rolled in. It was Valentine's Day and our flight was at 4:45PM. We made a decision to skip fashion shows and enjoy a day to ourselves. After checking out of the hotel, we took a car to Little Italy where we feasted on authentic pasta dishes and red wine. Happy Valentine's Day to us! To walk it off some, we wandered into Crate & Barrel where I noticed a ridiculous line of teenagers waiting to get into a showroom - there was a huge freakin' line with bouncers and security as all this teen spirit eagerly awaited entry into Kylie Jenner's Pop Up Shop... whatevs. Alex and I went somewhere better and with no line - the Acne Studios showroom.

NYFW came to end for us - though it's lives on through my collection slideshows! I'm already dreaming of NYFW September...

Lady Gaga's Super Bowl Halftime Show 2017

Lady Gaga sparkled, glistened and shined, literally and figuratively, as she flew through the air during the Super Bowl halftime performance. Dressed in Atelier Versace, Lady Gaga belted out some of her classics like Poker Face and Bad Romance. She danced, lit up the stage and had two costume and make up changes. Her outfits were a tribute to the late great David Bowie and one other statement Lady Gaga made was in her choice to start the Super Bowl halftime show with God Bless America and This Land Is Your Land. Lady Gaga slayed with a truly epic, entertaining and exhilarating show.

Keune Haircosmetics’ Atlanta BLEND Launch Party a Success

Keune Haircosmetics, a global hair care company with North American headquarters in Atlanta, launched its much-anticipated new hair-styling product line BLEND at an exclusive, invite-only event on January 22, 2017.

Produced by Bill Kaelin Marketing and located at the striking Southern Exposure venue within King Plow Arts Center on Atlanta’s Westside, the event hosted over 250 hair stylists and tastemakers, and played off of a “blended” theme throughout, including a variety of unexpected artistic experiences, entertaining performances and creative food and drink.

“Keune BLEND’s launch party was a celebration of individuality, personal style, true beauty and art,” says Atlanta-based Rachael Hoffman, VP of Marketing for Keune North America. “We are thrilled with the positive reception to Keune’s hot new hair styling line, and look forward to continuing to expand BLEND’s reach for consumers and hair stylists alike throughout Atlanta and North America’s hair salons. For a company that has been around for over 97 years, in 72 countries – we are just getting started in the states and the response has been tremendous.”

Southern Exposure’s expansive 7,000-foot space with soaring 25-foot ceilings, more than 2,000 panes of glittering glass windows and unique vignettes set the scene for the BLEND creative experience to unfold.  Everywhere guests turned there was something to stimulate the senses. Atlanta DJ Ree De La Vega put a bounce in partygoers’ steps with her sick beats, while famed local graffiti artist Dr. Dax created a large-scale painting that was given away at the end of the evening. An aerialist flew over an all-white photography area where guests were given the opportunity to take part in a live photo shoot. Performance artist Diego entertained onlookers through a glass-walled bathroom space, where he played with BLEND products and various hairstyles, while hair models with makeup by Crush Studio and styling by nationally renowned Keune artists George Alderete, Edward Woody and Switzerland’s Mike Karg showcased trendy BLEND looks throughout the crowd.  Garbed in over-the-top wigs filled with colorful BLEND products, drag queen hosts took Polaroid photos of guests that hung from clotheslines during the event, and later, attendees took home their snapshots. The hosts included the fabulous Dax ExclamationPoint, who has appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race; Brigitte Bidet, who emcees her show “Tossed Salad” at Burkhart’s Pub; and Hydrangea Heath, who performs for the “Tossed Salad” and “Gurlfrandz” shows in Atlanta.

Bold American Catering tantalized taste buds with creative bites that juxtaposed flavors like sweet and savory and cool and hot, such as bacon and peanut butter shots and cantaloupe and pineapple with smoked chili powder. At the open bar, Bai cocktails matched BLEND’s hot-hued packaging in flavors like blood orange, pineapple and grapefruit and Atlanta’s Wild Heaven provided yellow cans of Emergency Drinking Beer. Plus, mobile sips and treats included Cult Carts’ “adult” cotton candy in unexpected blended flavors, such as Strawberry Fig Balsamic, Lavender Cookies & Cream and Vanilla Popcorn, as well as a model who brought bubbly to partygoers with her “Champagne dress.” Tito’s Vodka served up Moscow Mule slushies from the dry ice bar in VIP.

Fashioned for the modern muse, style chameleon and free spirit, Keune BLEND sparks creativity with endless mix-and-match hair-styling options. The 14 premium products in the modern and colorful BLEND collection feature packaging with silver metallic, bold black and a rainbow of hot hues, and look just as great on your shelf or countertop as it does when used on your hair. The line encourages personal style by offering everything you need to work with volume, texture, hold, shine and more. Use each product, from a shaping texturizing cream to a de-frizzing shine booster, alone or create a custom mash-up that suits your hair or the mood and mode of the moment. Grab two, three, four—as many products as you want—to invent a whole new shape and make it your own. It is top-shelf mixology for hair that’s going places.
