adidas Launches Limited Edition Barricade Inspired by Traditional Barber Shop Textures

adidas today launched the latest addition to the Barricade tennis range, the Barricade 2016 Mustachio. The limited edition shoe is inspired by the aesthetic of the iconic barber shop.

The Barricade 2016 Mustachio features high quality, full grain brown leather giving a premium and unique new finish to the traditional Barricade 2016 shoe. The leather is wrapped by a brass-finished chassis replicating the superior fixtures and fittings with a barber shop. The shoe is also detailed with the classic houndstooth pattern and includes an embossed logo on the heel – adding to the premium and hand-crafted finish.

The classic houndstooth pattern sits around the top of the shoe, with the logo embossed into the leather on the heel.

Porsche Design Sport by adidas has unveiled the latest range of outdoor training products, with the release of its Fall / Winter 2016 collection.

Inspired by urban adventure, physical dominance and extreme conditions, the range injects comfort and style for the harshest climates. In this latest collection, Porsche Design Sport by adidas continues to fuse innovative technologies with a unique, sophisticated style for the urban-active man.

Porsche Design Sport by adidas’ winterized Outdoor Training range  includes advanced technical fabrics, innovations and detailing. The elements category meanwhile offers practical and stylish solutions to winter environments. Across the collection stand-out graphics, strategic design features and exceptional attention to form inject a cutting-edge aesthetic to functional pieces.

Outdoor Training, comprising t-shirts, shorts, tights, jackets, footwear and accessories, is engineered to protect wearers against the elements. Functional, sophisticated pieces crafted from technical fabrics such as climaheat™ - an advanced hollow-fibre fleece that traps heat and dries fast to keep you warm as you train – and reflective prints add sophistication and style.

Porsche Design Sport by adidas presents innovative technologies & design for FW 2016

This season Porsche Design Sport by adidas will hero reflectivity with an advanced technology and fabric, which glows when hit by light. This stand-out Glacier Camou pattern, in addition to strategically placed reflective details, is integral to the aspirational Running collections and also features in key Gym products, injecting superior functionality and style. 

The Gym line-up is designed for training in the gym as well as outdoors, made possible through highly adaptable signature pieces. The look presents a combination of functional pieces including the Run Tee, Sweat Pant and Winter Beanie through to more specialist and exclusive components including a soft Knit Jumper and Insulation Print Vest. The latter showcases an exclusive wind and water-resistant exterior constructed from an innovative heat-generating COREBRID™ B fabric and is designed in vivid Glacier Camou print. What makes a Superstar? Ask Pharrell & David Beckham...

Pharrell Williams, David Beckham, Rita Ora and Damien Lilliard star in a video ad for Adidas featuring the Original Superstar sneaker that first came out in 1969. It's a super cool, super sleek and super stylized short film where these "superstars" question the meaning of super stardom. Hmmm... I'm a little skeptical of the integrity of all this. Watch for yourself and form your own opinion. At the very least, the video is entertaining and hello, David Beckham's in it!

Alexander Wang's Sneaker Bag for Spring 2015

Has the sneaker replaced the stiletto? Well, not exactly, but this fashion season it surely has sprinted its way onto the fashion week runways. Most recently at Alexander Wang for Spring 2015. The collection was inspired by the inherent design attributes of the sneaker like mesh, leather and treading. Eye-popping patterns on body con dresses and high-waisted pants successfully blurred the lines between sport and high fashion. My obsession with the collection, which is what I am featuring here, is the sneaker bag! O-Em -Gee... These bags are amazing. Their style overrides their kitschy quality making these sneaker bags very chic and I predict they will become the must-have accessory for Spring. Take a look:
