Brad Pitt for Chanel N°5

Chanel-N°5-brad-pitt-fashionado

"It’s not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear. Dreams take over. But wherever I go, there you are. My luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No. 5. Inevitable."

Okay then... that's the text from the

Chanel N°5

commercial featuring

Brad Pitt

, the first man to ever be the face of the iconic label and fragrance.

The commercial (below) does it make you want to run out and buy Chanel N°5?

You tell me...

I prefer Part 2:

Regardless of my opinion or anyone's for that matter, Brad Pitt is making about $7 million for the ad... that's a lot of Chanel!

Keira Knightley in Valentino

We all love to watch the ladies of the red carpet, don’t we? Admittedly, it's so exhilarating to see them wear the beautiful gowns, jewelry, hair and accessories that most of us can only dream of. So we live through them. Truly, one of the most inspirational gals to watch for

elegant and tasteful style

is

Keira Knightley

. Here is a breakdown of her latest red carpet look for the premiere of “

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Keira-Knightley-Valentino

Dress:

Keira wore a svelt, exquisitely floral embroidered

dress by

Valentino

. It was crafted of taupe colored tulle with ruching around the shoulders, which were sleeveless. It was lined in a matching taupe. If you look at her style evolution over the years, you’ll see that Keira has a taste for sheers and overlays. Frankly, on her frame and figure, it’s a splendid look on her now since she’s learned how to wear them effectively. Valentino is one of her favorite designers and wears pieces from his house often, and looks fabulous every time.

Hair:

Keira wore a sweet and simple red shimmery hair garland with tiny flowers. This tied her look together perfectly, from head to hem! She had her hair upswept with small, loose tendrils at the temples, which she often uses to soften the angles of her slender face.

Jewelry:

The only jewelry that Keira had on display was her engagement ring from her now fiancé James Righton. Keira’s ring is extremely understated and classic as far as celebrity

engagement rings

are concerned. It’s a simple platinum band with a two carat brilliant cut diamond. It’s simple, tasteful and very in line with her personality.

Shoes:

Keira paired her Valentino gown with nude patent leather strap heels, although the runway model for this gown wore delicate, soft pewter shoes, which were a better accent with the soft gray in the embroidery. Perhaps Keira, at 5’7”, wanted to elongate her appearance, or maybe she just prefers the nude patent leather.

Makeup:

Keira looked dreamy and demure with her creamy complexion, mauve smokey eyes, soft rosy cheeks and shimmery pink lips. She was romantic, soft, vintage and feminine. In fact, she was glowing. It must have something to do with her recent engagement? As the face of

Chanel

, it’s no wonder that she looked timeless.

Over all, Keira was ethereal and wispy and demonstrated a look that is inspirational and not difficult to duplicate. Over the years, we can expect more stylistic treats from this red carpet queen.

Kristen Stewart glamoured for Vanity Fair

kristen-stewart-vanity-fair-cover-fashionado

Hollywood's vampire loving

"it"

girl tells

Vanity Fair's

contributing editor

Ingrid Sischy

that she's been criticized for "not always looking perfect" in her photographs. Well, Vanity Fair took care of that by giving the

Twilight

star a major

glam-over

with the assistance of famed photographer

Mario Testino

, styling by

Jessica Diehl

and with some of couture's heavy hitters; i.e. Dior, Chanel, Givenchy, Gaultier and Valentino. Wow, I mean, really WOW!

Kristen Stewart blew me away. These are the most stunning, glamorous and breathtaking photos I've seen in a while. Who knew there was a glamour girl living inside the sloppy, grungy

Twilight

character!

Chanel Resort 2013

chanel-resort-2013-fashionado

Leave it to the creative genius of Karl Lagerfeld to effortlessly combine genres, history and textiles. The Chanel 2013 Resort Collection pulled from elements of hip-hop and punk while inherently paying homage to France's last Golden Age with a show by the famous fountains of Versailles as the setting and a remix of M.I.A.'s  Bad Girls dubbed "Ghetto Royale." Lace, ruffles, sequins and beading like only Lagerfeld can deliver... View Collection:

PARIS!

eiffel-tower-paris-france-fashionado

There is nothing quite as

très magnifique

as Paris in April. The weather is fabulous and there are blooms everywhere.

Being the good little tourist that I am, visits to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, the Latin Quarter, Versailles, Notre Dame, Galeries Lafayette, Champs-Élysées, Le Arc de Triomphe and a Seine River ride were all a part of my trip.

I was fabulously exhausted!

Slept little and walked much, but so worth it. Riding the "Metro" was interesting and even challenging at times yet nowhere as insane as London's "Tube."

If you make an attempt to speak French, everyone is much nicer and friendlier. So, in addition to

"bonjour"

and

"au revior"

by the end of the trip I could also request a red wine and assorted cheeses platter. (kinda)

The Galeries Lafayette is a 10 story department store with a stunning architecture. I got lost in its beauty and in the building itself. Its just that big!

Keeping it French, in Lanvin, at the roof top of the Galeries Lafayette with a breath-taking view of the Parisian skyline. Moments earlier, my mother enjoyed a chocolate torte and I a glass of Bordeaux in their restaurant.

The staind glass dome ceiling at the Galeries Lafayette, mesmerizing.

Tina Sloan's Tinammercial 2011

Like many Guiding Light fans, I have loved Tina Sloan, a.k.a Nurse Lillian Raines, for more than two decades. Tina is an inspiration and living proof that you are never too old to live out your dreams. After the ending of Guiding Light, Tina hit the ground running in her Chanel's. She wrote a book and starred in her own play based on the book, Changing Shoes. ( A book tour followed.) Tina joined the cast of the indie web soap, Venice. She had a small role in Black Swan and most recently was at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas promoting a powerful new film by K. Lorrel Manning titled, Happy New Year. Tina stars as the lead character's (Michael Cuomo) mother.

(Last night) On twitter, Tina sent out the Youtube link to a fun video compilation she cleverly named, "Tinammercial." I could resist publishing it today, so I hope you enjoy the video short as much as I have!
