VIKTOR LUNA 2012... might we be seeing the birthing of a genius? A word I don't use casually, but after having the privilege of viewing Luna's Fall Collection in his New York studio a week before NYFW, my instincts say, yes! His brilliant use of textiles such as goat hair, brightly dyed leathers, metal fasteners and must-have accessories reveal that Viktor Luna is an artist and designer who not only celebrates chic innovation but has a creative vision with a potential impact on the industry. His tailoring is impeccable and sense of scale and proportion, spot on. All the pieces are very wearable yet maintain a solid level of alluring drama which sets it apart from "just" being RTW.
