GALANTIS PREMIERE NEW TRACK & VIDEO 'HOLY WATER'

Internationally-acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated duo Galantis have premiered their latest track “Holy Water” – available now via Big Beat Records alongside a Jason Lester-directed music video. The visual features hypnotizing choreography from synchronized swimming team Aqualilies, paired perfectly with Galantis’ signature anthemic instrumental and perfectly distorted vocals.

The past year has seen a steady stream of tracks from Galantis, including “Bones” featuring OneRepublic, “Spaceship” featuring Uffie and “Satisfied” featuring MAX. Recent collaborations have also included “We Can Get High” with Yellow Claw, “Roots” with Valerie Broussard and “I Found U” with Passion Pit. The duo is set to continue their extensive touring schedule through the fall, including two back-to-back sold out headline shows at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium in October.

Setting a new standard for songwriting in dance music, Galantis is a collaborative project between Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy, one-third of Miike Snow) and Linus Eklöw (aka Style of Eye). Their debut album Pharmacy reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance album chart on the strength of RIAA gold certified single “Peanut Butter Jelly” and platinum certified smash “Runaway (U & I)” – the latter of which earned GRAMMY nominations for “Best Dance Recording” and “Best Remixed Recording” – while their 2017 sophomore album The Aviary (featuring platinum certified single “No Money”) saw a top 10 debut in 23 countries. The duo have received over 3 billion cumulative worldwide streams, and over 1 billion video views to date.

The story of Galantis started back in 2009. Working as Bloodshy, Karlsson’s songwriting collaborations included Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Britney Spears (whose “Toxic” earned a GRAMMY for “Best Dance Recording”). After reaching out to Eklöw (who produced Icona Pop’s hit single “I Love It” as Style of Eye) to remix Miike Snow’s Animal,” the two continued to collaborate until ultimately Galantis was born. Following their blockbuster performance debut at 2014’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the duo quickly rose become one of dance music’s most dynamic and in-demand live performers.

Raving in Style: 5 Tips for Creating Awesome EDM Concert Outfits

Raving in Style 5 Tips for Creating Awesome EDM Concert Outfits

There are many great parts of going to a rave, besides listening to the music, one of the best parts is creating the perfect EDM outfit to make you stand out.

You want your outfit to be unique and different from everyone else but you may also want to think about being comfortable because EDM concerts can last a while.

Keep reading for five tips on creating awesome EDM concert outfits and how to stand out every time.

1. Neon or Glow in the Dark

One of the best ways to really stand out at an EDM concert is to dress in neon colors. These will pop in the dark and especially if there are flashing lights you will stand out during any rave.

Also adding glow in the dark accessories to any outfit will also help to give your outfit more pop. These accessories will look great at night time when it's dark and the music is bumping.

2. Small Backpack or Fanny Pack

With whichever outfit you choose, you probably won't have many pockets or space to carry things so a great accessory is a small backpack or fanny pack. You can carry lots of small things inside them and they look cute too!

Fanny packs are really coming back in style especially for EDM raves and concert attire. These are a cute way to carry around your phone, wallet, or keys and make sure you don't lose them.

3. Sunglasses

No matter whether the EDM concert is in the day or at night, sunglasses are a great accessory to add to any outfit. They make super unique sunglasses and they can also help to protect you from bright lights.

You're going to be seeing lots of lasers, strobes, colors, and projectors so you may want to shield your eyes from that once in a while. Wearing them on your head will still make your outfit look cute if they are unique sunglasses.

4. Coordinate With Your Friends

No one wants to go to a rave alone so make sure to invite your friends. You can send them save the date cards so they don't forget about the big rave coming up.

Make sure to get your friends together to coordinate your outfits. Having accessories or outfits that match will make your group stand out and may even help you find each other easier if you get separated. You could also try to get the same clothing pieces but in different colors, so you're original but still match with your group of friends.

5. Don't Forget the Comfortable Shoes

You've perfected exactly what you're wearing to the upcoming EDM concert but don't forget about footwear. You'll probably be walking around and dancing a lot at an EDM concert so closed-toed shoes are a must. While dancing you might end up bumping into a few people so having close-toed and comfortable shoes will protect your feet from unwanted toe injuries.

Plus it's difficult to bust out your dance moves in high heels! Wearing comfortable shoes with your EDM concert outfit will make you feel comfortable and give you more confidence to have fun dancing the night away.

Perfect Your EDM Concert Outfits

Everyone has a different style so it's really up to you to decide on your perfect EDM concert outfits. With these tips, you're sure to find something that fits your style and makes you stand out in the crowd.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE RELEASE LOUIS THE CHILD REMIX OF “I DREAMT WE SPOKE AGAIN”

Death-Cab-For-Cutie

8x GRAMMY® Award-nominated Atlantic recording group Death Cab for Cutie today release a remix of “I Dreamt We Spoke Again,” courtesy of acclaimed Chicago-based DJ and production duo Louis the Child. The original track comes off the band’s critically acclaimed ninth studio album Thank You For Today, released last August.

Introducing the flip to fans, Louis the Child say: "This is our new remix of ‘I Dreamt We Spoke Again’ by Death Cab for Cutie. You may listen using your electronic devices and wireless fidelity connection. Volume level 11 recommended." LISTEN HERE: https://youtu.be/u_OgE1vsM20

Of the rework, Death Cab for Cutie explain: “‘I Dreamt We Spoke Again’ began as a very muted, low-key ghost of a song, but ended up being one of the more dance-oriented tracks that this band has attempted - though in a very throwback, nostalgic sense. So, it was a treat to turn it over to Louis the Child and have them apply all of the bells and whistles of 2019 dance music production to it.”

Today’s release follows another rework of the track from legendary Jamaican dub/dancehall legend Scientist listen here, as well as a remix of “Northern Lights” from acclaimed Australian electronic producer Japanese Wallpaper listen here.

This past weekend, Death Cab co-curated and headlined a benefit with ODESZA at their shared alma mater – Western Washington State. Billed “Double Major,” the show was a homecoming for both bands, having formed in Bellingham when their members were students. In appreciation for the school and the city of Bellingham, net proceeds from the show were donated to WWU’s Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment.Red

Next month, they will embark on their highly anticipated summer tour, including stops at North America’s most iconic venues – from New York’s Forest Hills to LA’s Hollywood Bowl to an already sold out night at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Across various dates, support on the tour will come from Jenny Lewis, Lala Lala, Mitski, and Car Seat Headrest
