Acclaimed record producer, DJ and label founder Steve Aoki has unveiled the official music video for his latest single “Without U,” featuring DJ/production duo DVBBS and rapper 2 Chainz. The first release off Aoki’s forthcoming album KOLONY, the video for “Without U" follows Aoki, 2 Chainz, and DVBBS through the winding halls of Dim Mak Manor. Filled with moving portraits and animated mannequins, the video’s stark minimal and monochromatic composition effortlessly compliments the feeling of the track.

“The Without U video is the first look into the Dim Mak manor where you get to see a room in the house curated by 2 Chainz, DVBBS and I. Each room of the manor is designed by a different song from the album all interconnected in this Kolony community,” said Aoki.

“Without U” comes off the announcement of Steve Aoki Presents KOLONY, due for release July 21 via Dim Mak Records / Ultra Records, his first full turn into rap music. With nearly 10 years of hip-hop collaborations, Aoki describes it as “bridging the gap” between genres and is stacked with hard-hitting rhymes from some of the most prominent lyricists today, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Migos, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, ILOVEMAKONNEN, T-Pain, and more.

Aoki’s pop-driven single with One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, “Just Hold On,” released last December, has debuted at #1 in 43 countries and achieved Gold or Platinum status in 18 countries. He also earned his second Grammy nomination this past year for the Best Music Film category via his Netflix original documentary I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, which chronicles his fast-paced life as a DJ/producer and offers fans a firsthand look into his world. The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival last spring to a sold-out audience.

Aoki recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his legendary imprint Dim Mak. Founded in 1996, the independent label has encompassed everything from edgy rock to trendsetting electro throughout its 20 year span, last year seeing the release of a special edition compilation album and celebrations at major festivals around the globe.

Canadian Electronic Duo DVBBS, made up of brothers Chris Chronicles & Alex Andre, are most famous for their joint international hit with Borgeous titled “Tsunami." Since “Tsunami," they’ve dropped a string of hits including “La La Land,” “Gold Skies,” and their No. 1 breakthrough “Angel.” Relentlessly expanding their cultural footprint through platinum sales certifications in nearly a dozen countries, their latest hit with CMC$ “Not Going Home” featuring Gia Koka has gained over 60 million Spotify streams.

Grammy award-winning rapper 2 Chainz hails from College Park, Georgia and catapulted into the mainstream in 2012 through the release of hit-singles "No Lie," "Birthday Song," and "I'm Different" off his debut studio album. His recent single “It’s A Vibe” is stacked, with features from Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhené Aiko.

BRUNO MARS & DAVID GUETTA UNVEIL “VERSACE ON THE FLOOR (BRUNO MARS vs. DAVID GUETTA)”

Multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning musicians/producers Bruno Mars and David Guetta announce the release of “Versace on the Floor (Bruno Mars vs. David Guetta)” – the official remix to Mars’ latest critically acclaimed song, available now via all DSPs and streaming services (LINK).

The third and most recent track from Mars’ hugely successful platinum third album, 24K Magic, “Versace On The Floor” is already an RIAA gold-certified smash despite having only impacted at multi-format radio earlier this month. Additionally, the official audio stream has racked up more than 117 million plays on YouTube alone.

Now, the track receives an official remix treatment from the globally renowned producer/DJ David Guetta, which he debuted at his Ushuaïa residency in Ibiza last night, broadcast internationally on Facebook Live (LINK). With a rhythmic, riff-heavy bassline underpinning Mars’ soaring and seductive vocals, the track also features synthesized electronic breaks, creating an arrangement that seamlessly blends the musicianship of both artists.

Of his experience remixing Mars’ hit single, “I’m super proud that I had the opportunity to work with Bruno Mars on ‘Versace on the Floor.’ It is more than a remix; it is a collaboration and combination of different worlds together. My goal was to make it more dance and DJ friendly, but still respect the music that he came with, and keep the song and his voice in tact because it’s so beautiful. I hoped to create something that would not just be for one community, just like Bruno makes quality music that speaks to a wide audience. He’s really a next level musician and songwriter. I knew that already, but by working on his music I realized it even more so.

Recently, Guetta and Mars opened and closed (respectively) the Billboard Music Awards, with Guetta performing “Light My Body Up” alongside frequent collaborator Nicki Minaj, and Mars closing the show with the television debut of “Versace On The Floor.” Bruno Mars gave an electrifying opening performance on Sunday night at the BET Awards and won his first BET Award for Best R&B/Pop Male Artist.

Guetta and Mars are no strangers to the top of this summer’s charts, with “That’s What I Like,” coming in at #1 on Billboard’s “Radio Songs,” “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay,” “Hot R&B Songs,” and “R&B Streaming Songs” charts, while also holding strong at #3 on the overall “Hot 100.” The single – which previously ascended to #1 on the “Hot 100” (Mars’ seventh single to top the main chart) – is now certified 3x platinum by the RIAA, marking sales and streams in excess of 3 million.

Likewise, Guetta’s collaboration with Justin Bieber released just two weeks ago – “2U” – is already a Top 20 smash in the U.S., while rocking the Top 5 and Top 10 on charts around the globe. Furthermore, the track’s official “2U (The Victoria’s Secret Angels Lip Sync)” companion visual has logged nearly 48 million views.

Wolfgang Gartner releases “Find A Way” featuring Snow Tha Product

Wolfgang Gartner releases “Find A Way” featuring Snow Tha Product

Wolfgang Gartner has teamed up with rapper Snow Tha Product on their inaugural collaboration “Find A Way,” out now on Armada Music.

The bass heavy house tune is packed with wonky UK garage vibes. “Find A Way” has a charming slightly retro sound about it and Snow Tha Product’s soulful vocals layer perfectly over the bassline.

In addition to rapping, Snow Tha Product was also featured on the single “Immigrants” off the Hamilton mixtape and will star in the next season of the USA show Queen of the South.

"Find A Way" was an outlet for me to combine my love of UK Garage and Electro House to make something new, experimenting with new sound-design techniques but adding in the bleeps and blips & car alarm noises indicative of classic UK Garage, Gartner explains “Once the music was done I knew it needed a strong female vocal - while listening to different vocalists somebody showed me a reel of Snow's solo projects and I instantly asked to book a session with her. The result is something that I hope will give people the feeling of nostalgia and futurism at the same time; the production is sort of a story of how house music got to where it is now from where it was 20 years ago. My hope is that people new to the movement can get into it just as much as those who've been into it for decades."

Snow Tha Product adds, “Find A Way” with Wolfgang Gartner was a great experience. Since we are in a time where there are no boundaries in music it’s cool to be able to collaborate with people outside of my normal genre."

Armada signs Feenixpawl's Eclypse Records + New Single Out Now

Feenixpawl armada

Feenixpawl - Australian pair Aden Forte and Josh Soon - hit their first club jackpot when Axwell signed 2012’s ‘In My Mind’, leading to massive chart runs, debut airplay from Pete Tong, and remix work for Rihanna and Kaskade. The natural progression of getting their own label up and running saw the Australia-to-LA imprint Eclypse Records amass a healthy roster of club crusaders.

This all-round surge through the scene, plus with the potential of new track ‘Love Me for Life’ to be within earshot of all major holiday destinations this year, is the sort of juggernaut that Armada Music want to add to their fleet: the Dutch giants are to sign Feenixpawl’s Eclypse Records, a partnership the duo are very much looking forward to.

Feenixpawl: “We are extremely happy to be able to bring Eclypse Records over to the Armada family! To be able to collaborate with one of the biggest and best dance labels in the world has been amazing, and we are so excited about the new music we’ve been working on. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Eclypse and for Feenixpawl, and we truly believe that working with Armada will only help us continue to grow and expand as artists and as a label.”

Armada Music’s Maykel Piron: “In a short of space of time Feenixpawl have made the sort of waves that those at the top end of the EDM/dance spectrum cannot fail to have noticed. Their sound, ethos and drive reflects everything that Armada stands for, and teaming together makes for exciting times ahead”.

On hand with sunscreen and ice cream, ‘Love Me For Life’ comes bang on trend with humid, high definition club vibes aligning EDM and dancehall with a touch of bittersweet 80s reminiscing, the synthesized calypso a vocal, end-of-the-night come together with the charts in its sights. The rise of the phoenix continues!

EDC is a cultivation of not only top production and the best experiences a music festival has to offer but it also hones in on some of the most successful talent out there. And despite the hundreds of artists performing, not many can beat the footprint that the on-fire duo Bonnie X Clyde left on EDC Las Vegas.

Performing not one, not two, but a total of three sets during Electric Daisy Carnival - Las Vegas, BONNIE X CLYDE reigned over the grounds with their highly anticipated and energy packed sets. Their Upside Down House set Friday night brought together old fans and new and they brought a little bit of every genre, a series of celebratory fireworks prefacing the entire crowd singing along to their #1 hit track on Sirius XM, ‘Bass Jam’. With the track’s unrivaled success, it’s grasped onto the #1 spot for it’s fourth week, securing Bonnie X Clyde at the top. Set number two at the Trap Nation Parliament Art Cart brought over 3,000 people to one of the far corners of EDC Las Vegas, bringing together a crowd unlike any other for an art cart set. “Our Trap Nation set was super unique and wonky. We played a lot of experimental trap tracks and explored a different vibe but everyone loved it.” -Bonnie

Describe your first EDC Las Vegas experience.

Bonnie - “It was kind of indescribable. It’s like one of those things you dream about for a really long time and then it happened all at once. It was truly beautiful, the amount of people who came out for us at our sets and supported us. It felt like a family experience. Those people who stuck around to the end of our sets to take the family photo really made it extra special for us.”

Clyde - “Having to take a test in the middle of the two days and then having to fly back from LA was crazy but it was awesome to be able to play 3 sets in one festival.”

Thousands of fans came by Bonnie X Clyde’s sets throughout the weekend whether they were dedicated fans or had just discovered the duo. Both their Friday Upside Down House set and their Saturday Corona Beach set was accompanied by evening fireworks that lit up the electric sky and created a ‘very special moment’ for Bonnie X Clyde during their sets.

Your EP has has wild success so far with ‘Bass Jam’ being #1 on Sirius XM for 3 weeks and the other tracks being featured in almost every Insomniac trailer. How do you feel? Were you expecting this type of feedback?

Bonnie X Clyde - “We weren’t expecting this at all and are super thankful to Geronimo and the whole Sirius XM team for all the love and support they have showed us. The Insomniac team as well, they feel like family. We make a lot of goals for ourselves and we really feel like we achieved them.”

What’s to come in the future for you guys?

Bonnie X Clyde - “We have a radio show coming out soon called ‘The Hitlist’ which will be bi-monthly and will have a ton of cool mixes and new surprises for fans. We’re super excited about it.”

Viceroy Invites Tom Aspaul to “Improvise” on New Single

viceroy tom aspaul dim mak

Viceroy invites London's Tom Aspaul to "Improvise" on this feel-good single, recently premiered on Billboard. Aspaul's smooth vocals blend seamlessly with Viceroy's use of classic house chords and funk guitar riffs, sending the nu-disco production on a sonic journey into the sunset.

Hindsight may be 20/20, but looking ahead is paramount to progress. Fresh off his Winter Live Tour, Viceroy reminds us to focus on the future and, when in doubt, fake it ‘til you make it in his newest track "Improvise," which couples the producer's signature upbeat aesthetic with disco influences. The result is a refreshing deviation from the norm; "Improvise" still emulates Viceroy's summertime essence while its soulful elements add depth. "I've been really striving to move my music towards a full on disco and funk feel. ‘Improvise’ is really my first single that showcases my passion," says Viceroy. His passion shines through in the track's groove-worthy melodies and poignant lyrics courtesy of Tom Aspaul, making "Improvise" a winning track for summer 2017.

Whether he's playing house and disco infused jams or remixing hip hop artists, Viceroy's music is always feel-good and undeniably danceable. His personally curated easy, breezy sound has given his "summertime, all the time" brand a devoted fanbase, with a multitude of his songs reaching #1 on Hype Machine. The "Sultan of Summer" has taken the stage at performances around the globe and will be playing at Electric Forest and Life is Beautiful festivals this season. If you can't catch him live, channel Viceroy's vibes via his "Jams Not Bangers" Playlist on Spotify, or his recent 2016 Sweat It Out EP, Just Marinate. No matter where you're tuning in from, you can have summer time all the time with Viceroy.

Adding vocals to the track is singer/songwriter Tom Aspaul. In 2013 he signed to Little Boots’ label, On Repeat Records, for his debut single “Indiana.” The track quickly climbed to the top of the Hype Machine charts and earned accolades from THE FADER and Pitchfork, with the latter calling Indiana “The kind of prancing love song that results from pop’s inbreeding with electronic music and the mistier side of R&B.” Additionally, Kylie Minogue re-recorded a version of the track for her Kiss Me Once EP and renamed it “Feel So Good.” She isn’t the only artist to utilize Tom Aspaul’s songwriting skills. Aspaul has worked with and penned cuts for AlunaGeorge (“Mediator”), Little Boots (“Working Girl”), MNEK, and Jakwob, to name a few. In Fall of 2016, Aspaul released his first EP Left, which perfectly showcases the skills that he has developed over the years.
