Superstar producer Afrojack is known for culling upcoming talent from the masses to develop on his label Wall Recordings, and singer/songwriter Fais is no different. The 25-year-old crooner happens to be from the same childhood neighborhood as Afrojack, and since reconnecting as adults the two music-makers have been inseparable in the studio, leading to their collaborative effort “Hey.”
The lovestruck, big-room ballad is a feel-good singalong dripping in ethereal piano chords and melodic flute solos, anchored by Fais’ thick, rapturous vocals. It’s the type of song that will touch your soul while simultaneously making you want to hit the dance floor to revel in its blissed out buoyancy.
Fais has accompanied Afrojack on his recent world tours, performing “Hey” live to throngs of adoring fans. Florian Picasso continues his torrid pace with the sinister electro house track “Vanguard.” The French phenom transports us to the main stage, interweaving haunting chord progressions with soaring builds before unleashing a manic drop. The word “vanguard” translates literally to “a group of people leading the way in new developments or ideas.” With his recent festival weapons, Florian Picasso is doing just that. Blazing a trail for hungry producers, his sonic artistry raises the bar for the future of electronic dance music.
The 23-year-old Frenchman has been rocking some of Europe’s best clubs since he was only 16, sharing bills with Swedish House Mafia, Fatboy Slim, Showtek, and Joachim Garraud. His artistic heritage runs deep through his music, as he approaches each production with meticulous precision and unique rhythm.
Florian has released official remixes for some of dance music’s most iconic, from Benny Benassi to Flux Pavilion to R3hab. His original productions have also sparked interest amongst dance music’s elite class. Kaskade enjoyed Florian’s progressive banger “Artefact” so much that he reworked into a huge mashup, which saw continual rotation during his Atmosphere tour. The iconic producer will once again soundtrack warehouse romps with his newest record “Full Late Night.”
The pulsating, monochrome groove is teeming with spacey synths and arpeggiated, minimalistic beats, and available now as a free download via Ovum Recordings.
“Full Late Night” was originally recorded in 2003 for Wink’s “20 to 20” album sessions, but the beatmaker ultimately decided it didn’t fit the sound of that release so he’s kept the tune locked away in his vault until now.
Last summer Wink passed shared the track with some DJ friends, including Ben Klock who loved it and featured it in his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 which happened to win Essential Mix of the Year in 2015.
Showcasing the sounds that have come to define his iconic, 25 year career, Wink unveils “Full Late Night” as a surefire staple in sunrise sets for years to come.
