Australian DJ NERVO smash back with their immense new single and video, the stunning ‘People Grinnin’’, out today via Big Beat Records. Featuring the smooth vocals of Amsterdam-based vocalist The Child of Lov, ‘People Grinnin’’ sees NERVO put out yet another total banger, made with infectious vibes that allow it to transfer easily between easy listening and late nights on the dance floor. With a funky bassline, catchy hooks and killer synths providing the perfect foundation for The Child Of Lov’s hypnotic vocals to lay on, ‘People Grinnin’’ is the perfect return release for NERVO, and is sure to raise the roof on the world’s biggest clubs and most celebrated festival as the summer season draws to its fiery peak.

The music video is part of their ‘Made By Me’ campaign to help address the gender disparity and skills shortage in the field of engineering. The ‘People Grinnin’’ music video features female engineers creating android versions of NERVO.  Aiming to draw attention to how engineering applies to everyday life – beyond just roads and buildings – the video is a bid to attract more diverse students to the discipline. As previous sound engineering students, a predominantly male arena, Miriam and Olivia Nervo said the idea of the project immediately resonated with them.

“When we studied engineering, we were the only girls in the class. So when we were approached to get behind this project it just made sense. We loved the chance to show the world that there is engineering in every aspect of our lives. We’re sound engineers but our whole show is only made possible through expert engineering. From the makeup we wear to the lights and the stage we perform on; engineering makes it all possible, including the music we make,” said NERVO.

The message is a powerful one, at the end of the day “don’t let gender make the decision for you, we have so many options to do whatever we want now,” said NERVO.

“People Grinnin’” is available everywhere on Big Beat Records.

Benny Benassi’s much anticipated artist album Danceaholic out now on Ultra Music

benny bebassi danceaholic edm

Five years after Benny Benassi released his chart-dominating album Electroman, the Italian maestro is once again satisfying the cravings of dance music addicts with the release of his new album Danceaholic, available now via Ultra Music.

The 15-track offering serves as a perfect blend of old and new, demonstrating Benassi’s forward-thinking approach and illustrious ability to remain relevant. Consisting of reworks of previously released tracks and a bevy of fresh new tunes as well as collaborations with both longtime dance veterans and up-and-coming artists, Danceaholic proves Benassi’s genre-defying capabilities to explore new styles outside of his electro-driven wheelhouse.

Benassi’s latest creation showcases seven tracks that have already destroyed dancefloors, anchored by his collaboration with Chris Brown “Paradise” which has undoubtedly become this summer’s anthem. “Paradise” has held strop in the Top 50 UK charts for nearly 10 weeks, boasting more than 40 million video streams and 18 million Spotify streams. Other reworks on the album include an updated version of the 2013 popular sing-along collaboration with Grammy Award-winning superstar John Legend, “Dance The Pain Away,” a deeper edit of the tech-house, chart-topping retro groove “I Wanna Be Disco” which Benassi teamed up with fellow Italian producer Chicco Secci on, and a slowed down ‘Back to the Future’ mix of “Who I Am,” Benassi’s 2015 collaboration with rising star Marc Benjamin. Additionally, Danceaholic reincarnates the heavy slammer “Shooting Helicopters,” featuring vocals from System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian, and “Gangsta,” the successful collaboration with fellow dance music mainstay MOGUAI. The LP is rounded out by a newer track released previously this year, the progressive house anthem “Even If,” which has nearly 2 million Spotify streams topped Beatport’s Progressive House charts.

Danceaholic also serves up a cocktail of new offerings that span the modern music landscape while maintaining Benassi’s iconic ‘Electroman’ sound. The titular single “Danceaholic” is a club-ready groove consisting of anthemic electro beats and distorted robotic vocals reminiscent of industry icons Daft Punk. “Out of Control” serves as the vocal version to “Beardo,” Benny’s self-dubbed alter ego which manifests in the an exceptional underground club track that overlays Richard Judge’s deep haunting vocals atop future house hybrid synths. Benassi also partnered up with fellow Italian producer and longtime cohort MazZz on three of the tracks, including the darker more emotional track “Carousel,” “Analog Heart,” which mashes electro-house and psytrance sounds with an uptempo trance beat, and heavy-hitting house slammer “West Coast Patrol” which the duo produced alongside Chris Nasty. Emblematic of Benassi’s more recent vocally-driven work, Danceaholic also features collaborations with stellar vocal artists including airy croons from synth-pop artist Sheare on “I Keep Running,” uplifting bellows from BullySongs on progressive feel-good anthem “Universe,” and smooth sensual wails from Fatherdude on the slow-churning electro groove “Pandemonium.” Listen: Spotify

max styler and felmax skyline

Over Independence Day Weekend, Max Styler and Felmax ignited the fireworks with the sizzling trap number “Skyline.” The two budding producers strike a balance between gritty and sweet, chopping up dubstep breakdowns and ethereal flutters for a satiating bass-fueled banger.LA Weekly premiered “Skyline” and highlighted how the single finds Styler and Felmax, “Pushing a trap/electro hybrid sound in some insane new directions.”

“Skyline” represents Styler’s recent exploration into resonant low-end sounds. Fusing trap, dubstep, hip hop, and future bass genres, he continues to leave his signature imprint with each impressive track, including recent Dim Mak titles “Show U How (Feat KARRA),” “Without U (feat Gabriela Geneva),” and his graves collaboration “Fly,” which soared to #6 on Beatport’s Hip-Hop charts. His remix game has flourished as well, evidenced by his bootlegs of Kendrick Lamar’s “Levitate,” Baauer’s “Kung Fu (Feat. Pusha T & Future),” and an official remix of Rain Man’s “Bring Back The Summer.”

The hybrid trap heater is the second collaboration between Styler and Miami’s Felmax after their aptly titled bass monster “The First.” Felmax has compiled a remarkable catalog of trap music that has solidified him as one to watch in 2016. After releasing his standout collaboration with graves “Zebras In America,” which has been streamed 364K+ times on Soundcloud and YouTube combined, he unleashed a massive tune called “THE CLVB” with I.Y.F.F.E., who recently released a powerful remix of Rain Man’s “Bring Back The Summer.”
