Daddy’s Groove & Mindshake – 'WOW!' featuring Kris Kiss

daddy groove and mindshare with kris kiss

The Italian duos of Daddy’s Groove and Mindshake team up with London-based singer/songwriter, Kris Kiss on the incredibly groovy, 'WOW!'.

'WOW!' combines Daddy’s Groove’s deep basslines with Mindshake’s wobbly, electro sounds turning this single into an Electro/Deep House masterpiece. Kris Kiss’ clubby vocals add a very unique spin onto the song, putting the icing on the cake. The buildup features steady snares, which progresses the song into a wobbly, drop. Genre bending is a great term for this one because it’s difficult to categorize. It has Miami vibes written all over it so when you’re walking out in the snow this winter, put this tune on to heat you up!

Daddy’s Groove have always been known for hopping genres, producing tunes from Deep and Electro House to Progressive House. Somehow they always seem to maintain a groovy vibe throughout each song, though. They’ve had multiple releases on Ultra Records such as 'Blackout', 'Pulse', and 'Black Sun', a single on Dim Mak, and a few on Spinnin’ and DOORN as well. Daddy’s Groove have collaborated with just about everyone: David Guetta, Axwell, NERVO, and Congorock to name a few. Their bi-weekly podcast 'Genesis' has come a long way since the first installment in 2012. In 2015 'Genesis' surpassed 100 episodes, which is a huge milestone for the Italian duo. Stay tuned to see what happens for Daddy’s Groove in 2016.

The other Italian duo, Mindshake are on the rise right now due to the success of their collaborations with Daddy’s Groove on 'Surrender' and 'Back' (a rework), and Congorock on 'Nok Nok'. They have now had two originals released through Ultra Records, the Daddy’s Groove rework via Spinnin’, and 'WOW!' will be their debut release on DOORN. It’s been almost a year since they’ve released any music as they’ve been gearing up for a big year in 2016. 'WOW!' looks to be a promising start for Mindshake so don’t turn away because they are only just beginning.

Kris Kiss has been around the Hip Hop scene for a few years now after releasing his first mixtape, 'King of Hearts Volume 1' in early 2013. Similar to Example and Tinie Tempah his British accent is profound, which has served as a definite crowdpleaser. He made his dance music debut in May 2014 after being featured on Chocolate Puma’s hit, 'Step Back', which quickly amassed over 1 million views on Soundcloud and YouTube. Since then he has been featured on tracks from the likes of Chocolate Puma, Don Diablo, and Laidback Luke to name a few.

'WOW!' is available now via DOORN Records.

UK meets Netherlands on Sander Kleinenberg & Felix Leiter’s euphoric The One

sander kleinenberg felix leiter

Spinnin’ Records kicks off 2016 with a joyous UK-Netherlands collaboration in the form of The One – a peak-time cut from Sander Kleinenberg and Felix Leiter.

Sander’s commitment to supporting new talent from around the world continues here, with Leiter emerging in recent years as one of the UK’s most promising names.

Resident at Newcastle’s mighty Digital (DJ Mag’s #11 Club In The World and Best Large UK Club), his productions continue to receive bigger and bigger support – with the likes of Steve Angello, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Axwell, Fedde Le Grand, Mark Knight, Deniz Koyu, Thomas Gold, Eddie Halliwell and Pete Tong all giving him their seal of approval.

The One is an unabashed fist-pumper. Slickly crafted with a succinct, pumping beat, it’s driven by dreamy piano chords and a deep bassline that mirrors those sweet melodies, with a soulful vocal sample providing the icing on the cake. With a little old skool feel souped up in new skool style, it’s a gorgeous track that oozes classic house music vibes.

With 130,000 plays in just three days on SoundCloud, it’s set to be one of 2016’s first key dance hits. Our only problem with the track? It’s making us wish it was summer already…

JULIAN JORDAN will keep you up 'ALL NIGHT'

julian jordan

Julian Jordan’s latest single 'All Night' is an absolute banger.

The buildup features anthemic chord progressions with club-like vocals that drop into a blend of Trap and Electro House. The breakbeat intermezzos in the drop make for an innovative, 'Big Room' record. This tune is fast-paced and high energy so it’s made for those late night ragers. When you’re out on the dancefloor and hear this one…be prepared to sweat because you’ll be going 'All Night' long!

In May 2012, the future Dutch superstar would make his debut on Spinnin’ Records – 'Oxford' – a collaboration with TV Noise. From that day forward, he would become a Spinnin’ resident and release all of his originals on the label or an imprint. Shortly after 'Oxford' he released his collaboration with Sander van Doorn on 'Kangaroo', which amassed over 2 million views on YouTube alone and then his song 'BFAM' with Martin Garrix after that.

This past year he had performances at Ushuaïa Ibiza, Mysteryland and Creamfields. His two latest singles 'Lost Words' and 'Feel The Power' each acquired 1 million views on YouTube and Souncloud to round out an extremely successful 2015. Be prepared… Jordan is coming in hot in 2016.

'All Night' is available today via Spinnin’ Premium, download your free copy now via: https://www.spinninrecords.com/premium/julian-jordan-all-night

Out Now: Andrew Rayel & Digital X feat. Sylvia Tosun, "Winterburn"

andrew rayel winterburn

Prodigy. Wunderkind. Mozart. These are all words used to describe the electronic dance music DJ and producer, Andrew Rayel.

Andrew Rayel & Digital X featuring Sylvia Tosun, “Winterburn” (Armind) is out now. “Winterburn” is the first single from the second and forthcoming full-length studio album by Andrew Rayel for release in 2016.

The Original Mix of “Winterburn” approaches stealthily with an oozing, liquid bassline that quickly builds to a whopping climax with tweaky, dissonant horns. Sylvia Tosun’s voice sings, “I am your winter,” with a full-throated resonance set against Rayel’s all-enveloping synths and his signature piano riff. Rayel received an enthusiastic reaction to this song when he debuted it at the massive Transmission festival at the O2 Arena in Prague recently and the song conjures an icy goddess lording over all that’s forbidden and pristine. A bold 4/4 bassline throbs with abandon as club-goers spin ‘round in a blinding haze of colored lights and smiling faces. The Radio Edit of “Winterburn” slices unflinchingly to the core of the song with an explosive, seductively booming low-end that grabs the listener by the ears. The result is nothing short of a dancefloor epiphany.

Hailed by Armin van Buuren as “the future of trance music,” Andrew Rayel (real name: Andrei Rata) is a classically trained electronic dance music (EDM) DJ and producer from Moldova often referred to as the “modern-day Mozart.” That he is a musical genius is no doubt, though Rayel himself deflects the flattery. With a single-minded focus on composing the most influential electronic dance music he can, Rayel is his own harshest critic. His last full-length studio album, Find Your Harmony (Armada Music), was a critically praised collection of 18 tracks characterized by hit after hit. Noteworthy singles by Andrew Rayel include “Dark Warrior,” “EIFORYA” with Armin van Buuren, “Daylight” featuring Jonny Rose and “Chased” with Mark Sixma. As a live DJ, Rayel gives a high-octane, physically energetic performance that is consistent with his young age. He has performed at Tomorrowland in Belgium; Ultra Music Festival in Miami on the A State of Trance (ASOT) stage; Creamfields in the UK; Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas, as well as at glitzy nightclubs the world over.

An award-winning and celebrated singer/songwriter able to encompass multiple genres of music with ease, Sylvia Tosun is an American artist and performer whose preference lies with the sound of electronic dance music. A classically trained soprano accepted into New York’s prestigious Juilliard School of Music at age 15, Tosun’s voice is ideally suited to Rayel’s sound, as heard in their collaborations, “There Are No Words” (from Rayel’s Find Your Harmony album) and “We Bring The Love.” Tosun was for a time a lead vocalist for the multi-platinum selling group, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and in 2006 she performed alongside Alicia Keys and Cyndi Lauper at the Great Wall of China. Tosun’s skills as a songwriter have merited her a BMI Songwriters Hall of Fame Award and five USA Songwriting Awards, and she is an unprecedented two-time recipient of the USO's Ambassador to Goodwill Award. Rayel’s remix of “An Angel’s Love” earned great support from van Buuren and other noteworthy songs featuring Tosun include “Underlying Feeling,” “World Keeps Turning,” “Above All,” and “Push and Pull,” the latter peaking at the #1 chart position on the 2010 Billboard Club Chart.

Digital X (real name: Peter Holub) is a Ukrainian DJ and producer who debuted his music on award-winning record label, Armada Music, in 2013, with an EP titled, Raptor/Stealth. The most recent release by Digital X is the EP, Legioner/Valhalla (A State of Trance), in 2015.

Arty releases free League Of Legends game remix

arty music

Russian producer indulges his love of video games on new track - Part of a free compilation for League Of Legends players

It’s no secret that Russian EDM star Arty is big fan of video games. He’s vocal about his passion on social media, and will soon launch his own channel on gaming TV platform Twitch.

First though, he’s become part of the huge ‘League Of Legends’ video game world that he’s a huge fan of, remixing one of the soundtrack’s standout anthems as part of a free compilation.

War Songs is a compilation of remixes of music featured in the game that’s being given away free to League Of Legends players, and Arty has sprinkled some of his signature magic over the track Worlds Collide.

It’s a fierce take on a graceful vocal track which slowly but surely builds through layers of blissed-out atmospherics. Rasping, detuned swathes of electro gradually swell in prowess as we had for the euphoric breakdown, where honeyed female vocals glide over classic trance arps. A restrained yet dramatic build then drives us towards a full-throttle electro overload for the track’s conclusion.

Arty says he feels honoured to be part of this album, and he hopes the passionate League Of Legends community will love it as much as he loved making it.
