Mirrorball Gallery Brings Sparkle to the Foothills

Tryon North Carolina is shining a little brighter these days with the arrival of Mirrorball Gallery - a fine art and contemporary craft gallery. With an impressive and diverse portfolio of artists from NYC to Florida, Mirrorball Gallery has elevated the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains to new, artistic heights.

Founded by marketing executive Alexander Page who’s offers a career’s worth of knowledge and experience within the fields of luxury, branding and concept development, partnered with his husband, E. Vincent Martinez, an artist, filmmaker and educator, the duo are an unstoppable force. Together, they have curated a portfolio of top tier artists, all who are a fresh and welcomed addition to Western North Carolina. The aim is to create a space that not only showcases a diverse range of artistic disciplines, but also fosters connections between artists, art lovers, and the local community. The gallery’s fine art and contemporary craft portfolio includes 2D and 3D works—from painting and mixed-media to glass and ceramics—aligned with the "Mirrorball brand" of thought-provoking and unique contemporary art. Most of the glass and ceramics at Mirrorball Gallery are from makers with deep ties to Penland School of Craft, one of the oldest craft schools in the nation.

The gallery's name, Mirrorball, symbolizes the multi-faceted experiences and emotions people often feel around a mirrorball. “When creating the brand and name of the art gallery, we thought of things that universally bring joy to people,” says Page. He continues,“A mirrorball is a cultural symbol of dance, and self-expression, and usually in a place where people of all backgrounds come together. When you see the sparkle of a mirrorball you also see several reflections of yourself. Mirrorball Gallery is filled with beautiful objects of human expression and is an experiential space for all to enjoy.”

Page and Martinez hope the gallery will provide a similarly vibrant and reflective space for visitors to enjoy art and spark meaningful conversations. By offering exhibitions, artist talks, and a space for learning and collaboration, Mirrorball Gallery aspires to become an artistic hub in Tryon, enriching the town’s cultural fabric while making contemporary art accessible to a broader audience.
