David Guetta aims for 1 million fans to record with him on the Official Song of UEFA EURO 2016

Global DJ and music producer David Guetta has today called for 1 million fans to record with him and be part of the Official Song of UEFA EURO 2016. UEFA’s EURO 2016 music ambassador will create the soundtrack for the tournament next summer and he wants as many fans as possible to take part.

“I’m so excited to be working with UEFA on this project in my home country. UEFA EURO 2016 is all about the fans and I want to put them at the heart of everything, especially the music. So I’m trying something very special and asking fans around the world to celebrate this festival of football by being part of the Official Song,” said David Guetta.

The Frenchman, who will write and produce the song, will be the figurehead for UEFA’s global music campaign that will also include live performances at the Stade de France at the opening and closing ceremonies, a free fan concert in central Paris at the Champ de Mars underneath the Eiffel Tower and an interactive experience as part of the UEFA EURO 2016 Trophy Tour.

Fans can get involved by visiting http://euro2016.com/davidguetta and following the simple steps to record their part. David will take the fans recordings and mix them into his UEFA EURO 2016 anthem ‘This One’s For You’ which will be released in spring 2016. All fans who record, will receive a unique piece of personalized artwork and be entered into a draw to win tickets to the opening game of the UEFA EURO 2016 Championships at the Stade de France and the opportunity to meet David himself. Not only that, the winner will also be a VIP guest at his free concert on the eve of the tournament at the Champ de Mars, under the Eiffel Tower.

New World Punx unveil “Bang” + official music video...

New World Punx, the two-headed monster comprised of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten, unveils their latest percussion-heavy record “Bang.” 

Following New World Punx’ previous slammers “Romper” and “Torque,” the duo’s third original release kicks off with distorted vocal sample chops encouraging listeners to “bang to the beat of the drum” before pounding kicks ricochet into an electro synth breakdown.

Out Now: John Dahlbäck Featuring Alexx Mack "Count To Ten" (Armada Music)

Swedish DJ and electronic dance music producer John Dahlbäck’s latest single, “Count To Ten” featuring Alexx Mack, is out now. The single is the third from Dahlbäck’s forthcoming full-length studio album, Saga (Armada Music).

There’s something about Swedish electronic dance music producers and their seemingly innate ability to write the catchiest of leads. Upon a single spin of “Count To Ten,” it is guaranteed that the song will ring in one’s ears for hours or days to come. Uncompromising in its production, “Count To Ten” has perhaps more in common with radio-friendly synth-pop than it does with house music. While the boundaries of progressive-house music have widened to encompass a field where outright pop songs are as much at home on the dancefloor as their grittier, more “underground” cousins, Dahlbäck sees no reason to limit himself to just one style. The first single from Saga, “Raven,” had more of a dark, clubby vibe and that track got dance music fans ready for a long night of celebration. This song shows that Dahlbäck is unafraid to go this pop music route because he knows his clubbing bona fides remain intact. The Extended Mix has a longer, syncopated intro with a beat that sets the stage for a spell before the main vocal even enters the picture. The vocal is more treated and stuttered on this version and the infectious, high-energy refrain makes even this mix easily grasped. The sunny energy is addictive and irresistible. DJ MAG ANNOUNCES TOP 100 DJS POLL 2015 RESULTS… AND A NEW NO.1 DJ(S)

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll powered by 7UP has a new winner(s). Belgian brothers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the first duo to win the annual Poll, were announced at the Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), before performing in front of tens of thousands of dance music fans.

Commenting on the award, Dimitri and Mike said: “Thank you so much! Since day one we’ve put every bit of energy and time we can into our music and our shows in order to give the fans the greatest experience any DJ could offer. So it’s such an incredible honor to receive this award knowing it’s from the guys that matter most to us.”

Interview: MaRLo TomorrowWorld 2015

His beats make you get up and dance, his vocal tracks are "haunting" and powerful and his remix abilities are highly sought-after. Oh, and he's a super nice guy... DJ / Producer (and Australia's #1 Trance DJ) MaRLo shared a few minutes with me during TomorrowWorld to chat about the "MaRLo sound" and what it's like playing large venues. One of the most exciting and most anticipated sets at TomorrowWorld is, without a doubt, Armin van Buuren's. He's seasoned, talented, passionate about music and really loves his fans. It was a thrill for me (being a fan myself) to have the opportunity to sit with Armin just hours before his closing set. He had flown in from the west coast earlier in the day and though he should have been quite tired, you wouldn't have known it. Armin was welcoming, friendly and inspiring. We had a candid chat about EDM, the creative process and playing for massive audiences. Armin van Buuren's latest studio album, Embrace, drops October 29th.
