An Evening in the Highlands

On Friday, November 21st, 310 Rosemont, Winter Wren and William Wren presented Play for Patrick - An Evening in the Highlands – a night of shopping, strolling, sipping, and dining for a great cause. A benefit for Press On to CURE Childhood Cancer, the evening is inspired by Patrick Chance – who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2006. 

In an effort to make a difference, all three boutiques hosted a special shopping experiences from 6 to 9 p.m.featuring complimentary cocktails and lite bites, a dessert bar with The Ice Cream Bar spirited ice cream flavors, a photo booth, silent auction, giveaways, and special guests including Patrick’s mom Erin Chance, and much more. 20% of sales from all three stores along with 100% of proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Play for Patrick fund for Press On. 

Neighborhood favorites including Murphy’s, Genki Noodles and Sushi, Moe’s and Joe’s, Atlanta Activewear, TWELVE, Dakota J's, and Toscano & Sons Italian Market were also participating in An Evening in the Highlands and donating a percent of proceeds to Press On.  Additionally, golf lovers were invited to take advantage of a custom putting green at William Wren throughout the event where they can "Putt for Patrick" for the chance to win prizes.

Luxury has a new zip code in Atlanta. If it's been a while since you've been to Virginia Highland, then you are overdue a visit. Veteran retailer, Winter Hodges, offers you a shopping experience with the opening of his third location in VaHi. First came the sophisticated 310 Rosemont, followed by it's younger sister Winter Wren and now, the swanky William Wren, shoes and accessories boutique has arrived. Upon entering William Wren, the most enticing scent of rich leather says "welcome, come in." It's a fabulous sensory overload like no other, because while the smell of leather is seducing you, your eyes are feasting on the super-sexy store layout and your fingers want nothing more than to feel the merchandise.

A waved wall which runs the length of the store is not only dramatic but alluring with an impressive collection of high end designer shoes and accessories by labels like Frye, Sperry, Jack Roger, Kate Spade, Hunter, Polo, Vince, Marc Jacobs, Alice & Olivia, Nike, Peter Millar, Cole Haan and more.

Mr. Winter Hodges. [Not only does he have a great name] but he is one of the nicest, most charismatic people you will ever meet. 

Helloooo signature cocktails! Peach Bourbon sweet tea and watermelon margaritas ... 

The crowd never let up! I looked at my watch at 7:20PM and William Wren was filling up quickly. It was after 9PM and everyone was still there! A stylish boutique attracted a stylish crowd.

The Winter Wren grand opening: Live jazz, with a three-piece band set the soundtrack for the evening as guests sipped on complimentary Cathead Vodka cocktails and wine while enjoying fresh sushi and bites by Genki Noodles and Sushi. In addition to offering a 20% discount throughout the evening, Winter Wren also did special Free People giveaways throughout the evening. And, to help celebrate the opening of its sister store, 310 Rosemont (offering high-end men's and women's apparel located just steps away) treated shoppers and partygoers to Wild Heaven Craft Beers and delicious fare from Ocean Catering Company.  

The energy

at Winter Wren last night was as

as the clothes themselves. It was an amazingly fun evening...

, doesn't even begin to describe this guy. Winter is the most charismatic person I may have ever met. We spoke and carried on for some time. His spirit, energy and demeanor is so pure, so authentic. Yes, I'm been captivated by Winter and I can't wait to return to Winter Wren and visit  310 Rosemont as well, just so we can chat some more. And shop of course! YOU must stop by both locations.
