Berlin-based and internationally celebrated design duo NAMILIA partnered with Pornhub, the premier online destination for adult entertainment, for their NYFW Fall/Winter 2020 runway collection entitled “HEROTICA.”

HEROTICA represents a powerful, unprecedented commentary on a male-dominated world where sexual fantasies have objectified and fetishized women, creating alluring stereotypes – the submissive exotic Asian, the accessorized eye candy and the “dirty” porn star. Throughout the collection, the designers reclaim the female perspective and flip around the idea of white supremacy to express a new reality – one with fierce women at the helm.

The runway show will feature an all-Asian cast consisting of runway models and Pornhub models Marica Hase, Jade Kush, and New York-native megastar Asa Akira, Pornhub’s Brand Ambassador.

“The cosmos of sexual pleasure has been restricted to a few boring and chauvinistic narratives for the pleasure of the male gaze, up until rather recently. Porn isn’t something existentially male, most women just have been previously excluded from determining the narrative.” said Nan Li of NAMILIA.

“We are excited to support boundary-breaking creators and help to penetrate New York Fashion Week with a must-see runway show. The NAMILIA collection challenges long-held stereotypes that today’s consumers no longer stand for, which we’ve seen echoed on Pornhub through a push for even more diverse perspectives within the past few years,” said Corey Price, VP, Pornhub. “This partnership reaffirms Pornhub’s commitment to supporting the arts, especially that which celebrates human sexuality and follows our recent commissioning of The Pleasure Principle, a pan-generational, sexually-charged exhibition of female artists at the Maccarone Gallery in Los Angeles. We hope our fans will stay tuned for more as we prepare to launch our upcoming limited fashion collaboration with NAMILIA.”

Pornhub has a history of collaborating with well-known clothing brands. The company marked its foray into the fashion industry in 2016 when it was the presenting sponsor of Hood by Air’s runway show, followed by an apparel collaboration with popular streetwear brand Richardson.

In late spring, the brands will roll out a core collaboration collection of select pieces, to be made available online through NAMILIA and Pornhub.

Versace Dylan Blue: A fragrance & short film by Bruce Weber starring Gigi Hadid

versace dylan blue

Versace and Bruce Weber exude sex and sensuality. Add super model Gigi Hadid to the mix with a group of hard bodied adonises in suits and underwear and what you get à la Weber, is a sizzling hot fashion film with homoerotic undertones. Versace released the short film to coincide with the launch of their latest men's fragrance, Dylan Blue. The film is narrated in Italian with English subtitles, but frankly speaking, who gives a damn about reading anything when their so much visual stimulation on the screen.

First Kiss leads to First Handy

Earlier in the week we all saw the "First Kiss" video. I caught it on CNN and for the days to follow my FB news feed was slobbery wet from first kisses. Everyone talked about how sweet and tender and genuine they thought the video was. I thought it was stupid. And there was nothing creative about it. And the "actors," who were strangers, all happened to be pretty and skinny. The First Kiss video was actually a promotion for a fashion retailer called Wren.

First Kiss has over 52M Youtube views and the parody, which is loads more fun has 4M+

I LOVE that even the videos' description was parodied:

*We asked twenty strangers to kiss for the first time....

*We asked twenty strangers to jerk each other off for the first time...

the Glory Hole

Its hard [for me] to believe I've never tried glass blowing after being around it for more than two decades. Well that all change a few weeks ago when I visited a friend in Western North Carolina who is, you guessed it, a glass blower. I've been friends with hot glass artist

Judson Guerard

and his wife Sally since 1988 and I have never had the inclination to give glass blowing a try until last month.

For starters, let me say, it's hard. Not that I ever thought glass blowing was easy, but every aspect of it has a multi-task challenge. Also, its incredibly HOT in the studio as the furnace(s) reach 2000+ degree temps.

That aside... I loved it!

It helped having the tutelage of a great craftsmen with you every step of the way. The actual process itself, was fascinating. With a long, somewhat heavy pipe, you gather molten glass around the tip as you nearly singe off your eyebrows from being so close to the furnace. Walking back to the work bench you need to turn the pipe nonstop so that the hot glass won't slope down. You then proceed to blow air to enlarge the bulb of hot glass on the tip. Not at all an easy feat. It does not blow up like a balloon as I thought. To reheat the glass, you stick the you pipe in the glory hole, yep sounds dirty. [The glory hole is a second furnace specifically designed for reheating.]  Pull out of the glory hole [still sounds dirty] and return to the work bench to blow through the pipe again. And repeat!

After numerous trips to the glory hole, I produced the most hideous looking, pinched-pot vessel. Truly ugly. Too ugly to even show you. Trust me.

At the end of the day, I really enjoyed myself and discovered an even greater respect and appreciation for the art form. I understand now why so many fall in love with the art of glass blowing.

If you ever have the opportunity to try it, do so.
