Celebrate National Bow Tie Day 2015!

Bow ties have been around for a long time. A very long time. And while its popularity has seen ups and downs, just to be clear, anyone who may still think bow ties are a trend or fad, they're not. Bow ties are here to stay and thankfully, there are wonderful manufactures who take sartorial pride in their brand like Weybridge 1761 and offer men a selection of 195 bow ties and neck ties to choose from.

Today is National Bow Tie Day and it is my pleasure to introduce you to Weybridge 1761. Every tie is handcrafted with superior quality and each tie is inspected by at least five people which speaks volumes considering it's a family run business. David Mutter, Weybridge's President and CEO says that the price is what separates them from the rest, he goes on to say, "We look at this label as our way to introduce our passion for neckwear to new users interested in a classic tie at a great price." And he's NOT kidding. Are you ready for this guys... to celebrate the website launch of Weybridge 1761, ALL neckwear is priced at $17.61. That's right. Unbelievable.  I got my Weybridge 1761 neckwear two weeks ago so I can stand behind my words when I say the product is excellent.

For some men, everyday is National Bow Tie Day. So with that in mind, I've chosen seven of my favorite looks from Weybridge 1761 - one for each day of the week. Look through the slideshow above, but remember, there are nearly 200 to choose from on the Weybridge 1761 website!

The Hand-woven style of KorBáta Ties & Bowties

For Guatemalan tie making company KorBáta, a tie is not merely an accent piece or an afterthought.  Their hand-woven ties tell a story. When the thread is woven, the rich history and heritage of the Mayan people are woven along with it. That is because each thread has been put in place by the hands of a Mayan woman whose efforts preserve Guatemala’s textile traditions. KorBáta’s newest collection, Lagos and Lagunas, gives ode to Guatemala’s glistening lakes. Like all of their collections, Lagos and Lagunas is a limited edition. Crafted from 100% cotton, each hand woven pattern is unique, never to be duplicated. KorBáta ties and bow ties are for the man who knows quality when he sees it, loves old world tradition but isn’t afraid to dress for the 21st century.

KorBáta’s story begins by the serendipitous meeting of two entrepreneurs, Jennifer Menegazzo and Diego Arias. Both of Guatemalan descent, they found a shared love for their country, the beauty of its land, the Mayan culture and Guatemalan art. Combining their talents and efforts, they started a small artisan project and named the company KorBáta. Their work has been most gratifying because they have not only brought their dream to fruition but are helping to sustain Guatemala’s rich weaving history and providing work for those in rural areas of Guatemala.

Every man should own a KorBáta. Make a style statement!
