The Oscars Red Carpet Fashion 2017

A-list beauties everywhere at The Oscars but there was only one real risk-taker and that was Janelle Monae - she gets my best dressed. She wore that Elie Saab gown like a winner. Look through the slideshow above to see my fave picks, and to be clear, these ladies and gents were gorgeous, smashing and glamorous, but I want to see show-stoppers at The Oscars. Of course, one can say that the La La Land / Moonlight fiasco was a show-stopper. Literally!

Golden Globes 2017 Red Carpet Fashion

The 74th Annual Golden Globes 2017                                Red Carpet Fashion

Lots of yellow on the red... The Golden Globes kick off award season with varying and glistening shades of yellows, pinks, pewter, blues and blacks. I didn't see any one singular offensive look on major celebs; just a few that could have done (without) puffy sleeves, more accessorizing and different styling. The gentlemen did quite well too. Their tuxedos were a good fit and their pants had little to no break, as it should be.

We're off to a good red carpet season... let's keep it up!

SAG Awards 2015 Red Carpet Fashion

All I have to say is that these ladies better bring it to the Oscars next month! Now, don't get me wrong, there was plenty of glamour on the red carpet and A-listers like Emma Stone continued to push the fashion envelope, but overall, everyone played it safe to the SAG Awards. There was a whole lot of pretty, and that's a not a bad thing. My (usual) faves - Lupita, Julianne, Emma were, of course, gorgeous. I don't know about you, but I am ready for red carpet show-stoppers. And to gratify the guilty pleasure - a few train wrecks - there I said it. (I know you were thinking it!)

W Magazine's Best Performances 2015 & Stunning Celebrity Photos

With the award season among us, kicked-off by this weekend's Golden Globes, W Magazine has released their annual "Best Performances" movie issue. Stunning, brilliant and colorful images of Hollywood's superstars like Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley have captured the creative mind and lens of photographer Tim Walker. W Magazine says Walker "was influenced by the colorful, sun-drenched Los Angeles paintings and photographs of David Hockney, as well as the '70s free-love aesthetic that informs the artist's work." The willingness from the actors to transform played beautifully with Walker's vision and sensibility resulting in an exquisite, stylized and visually dynamic body of work.
