For his Spring-Summer 2023 collection, Christian Juul Nielsen turned to the French pantomime character Pierrot Lunaire. In this retelling, Pierrot found himself in an Icelandic flower field after falling to the earth from the moon, surrounded by purple blue lupines, lavender cuckoos, and acid green grass. Pierrot brings with him to earth bits of the silvershine from the moon while still wearing his black headpiece, ruffled shirts, and oversized pants, all accented with tons of tulle. A.Potts debuted their new collection as part of New York Men's Day during NYFW, which took place at Daylight Studios in New York on Friday September 9th. The collection featured model Elle Smith, the current Miss USA. Footwear was provided by Dr. Martens. This season, A.Potts delivered a more sophisticated and polished collection than season’s past but the avant garde DNA of the brand, its gender-fluidity and inclusion of race and age are quite prevalent.
