"For me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility. I'm tired of hiding and I'm tired of lying by omission."

Actress Ellen Page, best known for her role in the film Juno, may be breathing a little easier today after publicly coming out yesterday.

"And I am here today because I am gay. And because, maybe I can make a difference," said the 26 year old in an emotional speech at Time To Thrive, a conference to promote issues in the gay community.

"We deserve to experience love fully, equally, without shame and without compromise."

Amen to that!
