Fabergé

Peter Carl Fabergé
would have approved! His artistry was commissioned between the years of 1885 - 1917 by Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia. The first egg was given by Alexander III to his wife, the Empress Maria Fedorovna.
The luxury eggs were made of precious metals and gem stones and all had to contain a surprise on the inside per Fabergé family tradition. The opulent eggs were [and are] considered the jeweler's masterpieces.
