Fashion Statement Returns for a Second Year of Fashion and Philanthropy

Are you ready to make your ‘fashion statement’… On Sunday, August 25, 2024, Fashion Statement, a premier fashion fundraiser, will kick off Atlanta’s social season with its second annual event. Hosted by lead sponsor, Phipps Plaza, a Simon Property, the 2024 event aims to raise $500,000 to support the programs and services of Susan G. Komen. . Fashion Statement invites Atlantans to experience an unforgettable and fashionable evening showcasing a lineup of four exclusive events in one.

Launching the evening from 5-7pm, Luxury Retailers from both Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square will host private in-store and pop up shopping experiences allowing patrons to explore and shop while supporting the mission of the event. A cocktail reception will unite patrons in Monarch Court at Phipps from 6:30-8:00pm featuring curated cocktails and culinary creations from renowned restaurants at Phipps Plaza including Ecco, Davios and Citizens Market. This sets the perfect tone for the highlight of Fashion Statement - the Fashion Statement Finale - which promises to be a show-stopping runway extravaganza following the live auction and fund the need.

Fashion Statement's mission is to combine culture, creativity, cuisine, and care. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the world's largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. Since its inception in 1982, the foundation's efforts have resulted in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy, and programs in over 60 countries, helping to reduce breast cancer deaths by 40 percent between 1989 and 2016.

Phipps Plaza will serve as the host and lead sponsor of the event as they engage retailers from both Simon properties, including Lenox Square, to participate in the private in-store shopping experiences, host pop-up shops, showcase custom looks in the fashion show, display items for the auction and activate other interactive experiences throughout the night. Phipps Plaza’s, The Green,’ will set the stage for the evening’s fundraising and fashion show finale.
