GLOBALLY ACCLAIMED PRODUCTION DUO GALANTIS SHARE FUTURISTIC DYSTOPIAN VIDEO FOR SMASH HIT “HUNTER”
Globally-acclaimed, Grammy-nominated production duo Galantis is riding high on the recent success of smash hit “Hunter” (Big Beat Records) which snagged their highest streaming debut to date, racking up over 1.2 million domestic streams in its first week. The track has since tallied over 25 million streams on Spotify alone since its release in May, and is currently reaching new heights at #11 on Dance Radio!
Now, Galantis is back with the official music video for “Hunter,” out today, featuring a tribal dystopian theme underscored by Where the Wild Things Are-esque characters in vivid dress. Viewers are taken on a journey with the creatures on their quest for a mystical jungle concoction, featuring cameos from Galantis’ own Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw, and culminating with a ritualistic victory dance.
“Hunter” also recently got the official remix package treatment, featuring remixes from Henry Fong, Mike Williams, Made In June, and NGHTMARE & Rickyxsan, alongside a Galantis & Misha K VIP mix (LISTEN HERE).
“Hunter” arrives on the heels of Galantis’ recently released “Rich Boy” (BUY/STREAM), which featured infectious vocals from an eight-year-old girl, and was lauded by Billboard as yet “another synth-drenched jam” from the duo.
Galantis was nominated this year for three P3 Gold Awards in their native Sweden, winning “Best Dance Act.” Additionally, the duo won “Producer of the Year” at this year’s SKAP Awards, and “No Money” was nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2017 Swedish Grammis Awards. Galantis has found tremendous success with other recent single releases, including “Love On Me” and last year’s platinum-selling smash hit “No Money,” which is Galantis’ biggest track to date at over 600 million global streams. Collectively, the duo has amassed over 1 billion streams worldwide.
