You’re invited: Butterflies & Brews on August 20

Cold drinks, delicious food, live music, and a relaxing walk through a beautiful butterfly habitat -- sounds like the perfect way to spend a Friday night!
On Friday August 20, from 5 - 8 pm, Dunwoody Nature Center is hosting Butterflies & Brews, a one-night, adults-only addition to its annual Butterfly Experience. Your ticket to the event includes not only entry to the butterfly tents, but also food and drinks provided by Porter Brew & Que. The local brewpub and BBQ joint will serve up traditional and vegetarian fare. And there will also be live music playing throughout the evening.
All attendees to the Butterflies & Brews event must be 21+. So parents, go ahead and leave your littles with their grandparents/family members/a babysitter and enjoy a kid-free evening.

However, kids are welcome throughout the rest of the Butterfly Experience weekend, which takes place August 19 - 22. Your little ones will be able to learn about the different butterfly species via craft stations and educational activities along the Pollinator Pathway, all inside the Dunwoody Nature Center.
In case you haven’t ventured out to Dunwoody before, it’s just OTP (outside the perimeter). Dunwoody is a suburb of Atlanta, but it’s a cool suburb, with a bustling dining scene, a fine arts school and theatre company, as well as lots of outdoor green spaces and hiking trails. It has a lot to offer, despite being just 20 minutes from the city.
The Butterfly Experience has been a beloved Dunwoody event for years, and its organizers are excited to add an adult-only event to the annual family-friendly fun. The tickets to the traditional Butterfly Experience are $10/adult, with kids under three years old admitted for free. And the all-inclusive tickets to the Butterflies & Brews event are $30/adult.

Both events are rain or shine, since they’re mostly outdoors. The dress code is dressy casual.
