The Labels: Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2016

We all know that Jeffrey Kalinsky sends down the Jeffrey Fashion Cares runway some of the most exclusive fashion labels in the world such as Givenchy, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent Paris. But with fifty-six looks in this year's show, even the most knowledgeable fashionista or fashionado can't keep up with all the designers. Ever wonder who wore what? Exclusive: Runway Preview to Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2016

Saint Laurent Paris Jeffrey Fashion Cares / Photos by Tomas Espinoza

"Does it look too vintage? Hand me the YSL clutch... yeah, that's better..." AND then, Jeffrey Kalinsky proceeded to direct the young model on how to hold the clutch and a flawless runway look was born.

It was such a privilege to spend time within the inner sanctum of the Jeffrey Fashion Cares show fittings and runway line-up process. Jeffrey and his team are perfectionists. Their approach is similar to that of an art curator laying out and important exhibition. Every single minute styling detail is considered - every shoe, every belt, every bag - until a complete and impeccable look is achieved and met Jeffrey Kalinsky's creative and clear-cut vision of his brand.

The line-up features more than three dozen looks - the latest runway showstoppers from high end designers such as Givenchy, Simone Rocha and Saint Laurent Paris will turn heads on Monday, August 29 at Phipps Plaza. There is lots of color and texture in the show as well as all black, all chic looks. And let's not forget the parade of traffic-stopping, to-die-for footwear!

Jeffrey Fashion Cares will be spectacular. It always is, but as I witnessed this week "always" is not taken for granted. The Jeffrey Fashion Cares runway is a fine-tuned, well-thought and meticulously planned production.

Gucci, provided by Nordstrom Green Hills, and John Varvatos are the latest designers to join the event, sending their Fall 2015 collections down the Off The Record runway.

These world-renowned designers will join brands including Kaufman Franco and Tribe Kelley for the unique affair that combines fashion and music. Also appearing at the event courtesy of Jaime Inc. of Nashville are Graziela, S.Carter Designs and Spinelli Kilcollin. Pieces from Amanda Valentine, Ani&Ari, Cole Haan, Eric Adler, HatWRKS, Johnathan Kayne, MINXX by Margaret Roberts, Peter Nappi, Shelly Brown and The Giving Keys will round out the elegant evening.

In addition to showcasing the internationally acclaimed designers, Off the Record will honor its Nashville roots with musical performances that span a variety of genres. Tommy Shaw of Styx and Phil Vassar will join forces for a performance many years in the making. Big Kenny, Chase Bryant, Kaleo, Old Dominion and The Cadillac Three are also set to perform, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Second Harvest Food Bank is an outstanding organization and I always enjoy doing events to support them,” Vassar expressed.  “It’s going to be a great evening and I am really looking forward to playing with Tommy.”

“This is going to be another one of those great nights in Nashville. Music City has become a town of some amazing fashion trendsetters,” Shaw noted. “And it's gonna be a night to show them off.”

Off The Record will be held at philanthropist Sylvia Roberts' estate in Nashville, as seen on ABC’s hit show Nashville. The event is sponsored by Red Gold Tomatoes and Patron Tequila, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

GUCCI for the Holidays

Gucci infused a little humor with their latest short film titled "Special Delivery." The video is digitally mastered to perfection, of course. It features a good musical score and most of all, it's just fun to watch! Share this with loved ones and who knows, you may inspire a "Special Delivery" from Gucci this holiday season?!
