E. Tautz Menswear Fall 2016

E. Tautz designer, Patrick Grant, brought the '80s back for Fall 2016. Well, the dressier side of the '80s. I lived through it the first time and must admit that it's kind of refreshing to see it work its way back into the fashion world. For (us) dapper dudes who've embraced fashion and the "trends" that come with it, this E. Tautz collection (just like Christopher Kane's from earlier in the week) introduce a departure from the form-fitted skinny. E. Tautz gives us high-waisted pleated pants. Yes, you've heard correctly. Also, loose fitting coats and jackets, with pocket and zippers and elements reminiscent of the era. To keep things modern (and not costumey) the shoes, choice of fabrics and styling, is contemporary.

Christopher Kane Menswear Fall 2016

If you've been following Christopher Kane's career, or at least, read this blog regularly, then you already know that there is a conscious and purposeful correlation between Christopher Kane womenswear and menswear. For Fall 2016 menswear he gave us pops of neon, (extra long) nylon belts and crashed car imagery - all elements from his recent pre-fall womenswear collection. As always, there is a streetwear meets fine tailoring edge to Christopher Kane. It's modern and very appealing. This time, with his menswear collection, Kane introduced wide-legged pants. Could this be the beginning of the end of the skinny pant? In addition to impeccable tailoring, something that is equally consistent with Christopher Kane is his approach to styling perfection. You want to wear his clothes. I do.

Craig Green Fall 2016 Menswear

Nothing lasts forever, especially clothing, something that Craig Green addressed for Fall 2016. The pieces that are seemingly held together with grommets and laces imply evidence of temporary fashion. They can be torn away. Removed. In contrast, the opening look and others like, appear to serve as armor. Strapped in for protection. Thoughts and ideas are the foundation of creativity and I love when fashion embraces the concept. Thank you Craig Green!

ANN DEMEULEMEESTER MEN 2015

Over recent years, Ann Demeulemeester has become one of my favorite designers, which is saying a lot, considering I couldn't even look at deconstructivist fashion twenty-five years ago. As Demeulesmeester's aesthetic evolved my mind broadened, thankfully. Today, I can even pronounce her name! Season after season, I look forward to seeing her collection(s) which have become quite polished. I have to mention that while Sébastien Meunier is now at the creative helm at Demeulemeester, the label's foundation remains solid. Always meticulously layered and just edgy enough to keep avant-gardists satisfied. The silhouette continues to play with scale and proportion, flowy in some places yet lean in other parts. Black, white, greys and neutrals reign. Pay close attention to the jackets/blazers in the collection. They're amazing and stand very well on their own [and would look flawless hanging in my closet!] View Collection:

Pitti Street Style 2014

pitti-uomo-fashionado
pitti-uomo-fashionado

Why couldn't we live Pitti Uomo everyday? A great number of the most stylish and dapper men in the world show off their sartorial flair at the famous Florentine trade show known as Pitti Uomo. Acclaimed photographer Tommy Ton captured the best of the best of Pitti street style for GQ Magazine... see photos below

*What I love most about this style is that it's about how you put your look together. The ties, scarves, vests, outerwear and shoes areall in your closet.

The keys to pulling off Pitti style: 1. clothing must be fitted; 2. You MUST already posses a sense of style. 3. Attitude. (Age is not a factor, love that.)

*What I like least are the hideous unkempt beards. I hated them before they were a trend. I despise them now. When paired with camouflage you look like a gay Duck Dynasty fool.

Hello New York!

e-vincent-martinez-style-tifanny-pinero-stylemagvm-fashionado

I threw on my favorite "special occasion / be-noticed" shoes for Fashion's Night Out in NYC. I styled my outfit I around them. Within minutes of entering Alexander McQueen in the Meatpacking District I was asked to pose for a picture. Never to shy away from a camera or a request attached to a pretty smile, I said yes, put my Perrier down, and there you go! The photographer was stylist and blogger

Tiffany Piñero

. She was out enjoying FNO with friends and snapping pictures with her digital camera. We chatted for a few minutes. I was flattered to have been singled out. Well, imagine how I felt the next day when I visited Tiffany's blog to find ME in it! She said [about my look]:

Head to toe this look has so much personality, the slight cuff on his denim and the metallic shoe are a beyond winning combination.

I guess my "be-noticed" shoes did their job! Read
