USTA ATLANTA ANNOUNCES 2ND ANNUAL 'TO SERVE WITH LOVE CAMPAIGN' TO BENEFIT ATLANTA YOUTH TENNIS & EDUCATION FOUNDATION
USTA
Atlanta
has announced details on its second annual
"To Serve With Love" campaign, which raises funds for the Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (AYTEF), taking place through the month of February. The campaign is AYTEF's annual fundraiser, designed to help develop more after school and summer tennis and educational programs for underserved youth, many of which attend local Boys & Girls Clubs, elementary schools and recreation centers around metro Atlanta.
The monies raised will support AYTEF's mission of giving kids opportunities to build their character and help them develop their skills on and off the court.
"We are excited about the launch of our second annual fund for Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation," says Eric Schmook, USTA Atlanta Board President. "We had great participation last year with almost 300 individual donations and we look forward to an even better campaign this year."
In 2013, nearly $18,000 was raised thanks in large part to the fundraising efforts of volunteers, staff, board members and tennis professionals. For this year's campaign, USTA Atlanta kicked off
To Serve With Love with a generous donation of $1000.00 from Atlanta Team Tennis Association (ATTA) and looks to raise $28,000 by the end of the month.
These
funds will provide much needed educational and art supplies, healthy snacks, scholarships, coaching, tennis equipment and more.
"
At the core of ATTA's mission is
the desire to promote and develop tennis in our local community
," says former President of ATTA , Thanh Doan.
"We are delighted to invest in the future of tennis through AYTEF's "To Serve With Love."
