The Bejeweled Challenge Project Runway
Diamonds are a girl's best friend, except if you're a designer on
Project Runway
and your challenge is to create a design inspired by the sparkling rocks to be judged by famous industry people and possibly eliminated... after you've been humiliated on the 'runway.' [Well that was dramatic!] $30M in jewels bedazzled co-starred on Project Runway this week. Some designers glistened like the sun while others proved that they aren't even diamonds in the rough, just coal.
Just the right amount of chiffon and over-sized bell sleeves with a pop of color for drama from Designer Alexander. Love this look all the way around.
Bradon's dress lit up the runway as a shimmering stunner.
I absolutely love the double strap treatment on this dress. I love the pattern and the way the fabric flowed. It's a beautiful dress. Well done and presented. [Except for the headband... soooo NOT necessary.] But we'll let it slide Designer Dom.
Clean up on aisle Runway. Designer Helen is so full of shit. In the first episode (during introductions) she claims that her work will "devastate you"...
seriously?
Who talks like that? Stupid girl, pretending to be rough and tough and oh so talented. [The worst part is that] she probably took someone's spot on the show who really deserved it. Helen broke down during the fashion portion of the Project Runway. Heidi asked Tim Gunn to check on her. She was sobbing because she realized that her gown was a piece of crap. Devastated by her own work! That's ironic.
This yawn brought to you by Designer Karen.
Designer Ken gave us red carpet realness worthy of diamonds and more diamonds...
Giddy up folks. There's a one-trick pony on the loose! Two challenges and twice now Designer Miranda give us midriff.
I just can't. Designer Sandro is a mistake. Why is he on Project Runway? Forget that his fashion sense and taste levels are disgusting. It's his temper I am concerned about. Sandro seems unstable and slightly violent.
Our little misguided unicorn Timothy gave us more recycled crap this week. He just doesn't get it. Hey Timothy, ever heard of Stella McCartney?? Look her up babe.
Poor Designer Kahlindo. She got robbed! Okay, so Kahlindo made a not so pretty, "off the sale rack" looking dress but in no way was it worse than Helen's!! This is where Project Runway really pisses me off. They do this season after season [and they know it]. They keep the Helen-types because they generate ratings which translate into advertising dollars. I get the business end of it, but they compromise their integrity in the process.
Designer Kate brought it and took home the win. She had a story behind her design about Marie Antoinette fleeing the palace and grabbing her jewels. [John Galliano told a similar tale in the early 90's before he went cray cray.] Kate did a magnificent job. I loved the everything about the dress.
