Thom Browne Women NYFW 2012
"Fashion victims:" They died over their love of fashion and were reborn, for fashion... Are you with me? Thom Browne's latest fashion week theatrics began with 10 beautiful girls - fashion victims- in coffins. Their rise from the dead was a metaphor for fashion's rebirth. Hey, you can't accuse the designer with having a lack of substance or creativity! Or expression. Or vision. Or putting on a great show.
From fur trimmings to his use of tweed, Browne's silhouettes hinted at couture. In his own exaggerated way, literally, Browne proved that he lives in a fashion fantasy world and the runway is his stage. I particularly love the silver leafed lips! [see photos]
