the Road To Heavens Above
Most of us lead pretty fast lives. We work hard and play harder.
Our daily commute ranges from bumper to bumper traffic, uninspiring travel and flip-offs.
Slow down and find peace.
I did
. Traveling to the mountains of Western North Carolina offered four hours of mindful tranquility. I don't remember the last time I drove through the city with a smile on my face but I did so all weekend in the mountains. I find that there is something almost spiritual about driving under a burst of floating fall leaves kissed by a gust of wind. Watching them gracefully make their way down is heavenly.
Moonshine Mountain Rd, Raccoon Ln and Lickskillet Rd were just some of the charming street names that I encountered.
Be kind to yourself.
