Jeffrey Fashion Cares Announces Guest Designer
Jason Wu. There you have it. This was too exciting and I couldn't hold it in!
This is Jason's second time coming down South for Jeffrey Fashion Cares and bringing his NYC sophistication to our city. Wu told JFC founder Jeffrey Kalinksy how much fun he had last time he was here and just how much he'd love to do it again... Well that was enough for Kalinsky to hear and an invitation to be the special guest designer at the 19th Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares followed.
Kalinsky really loves Wu's work, especially his current line which will be featured in a trunk show Thursday and Friday at Jeffrey Atlanta at Phipps Plaza. (11am-4pm)
Jason Wu's gorgeous Fall 2011 Collection will, of course, grace the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 144ft runway on August 29th.
In the meantime...
lets take a look at some of the exquisitely tailored looks that Jason Wu sent down the runway in NY Fashion Week last month. The collection was inspired by the restoration of Versailles and Wu himself dubbed the line as "baroque meets sportswear."

Founded by acclaimed Atlanta and New York retailer
Jeffrey Kalinsky, Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta will once again be held in a stunning high-rise in the 12th & Midtown development located at Peachtree and 12th Street.
Louise Sams, Jeffrey McQuithy and
Lila Hertz are returning as the Co-Chairs for the 2011 event that includes a pre-show reception, fashion show, and features special guest designer Jason Wu. The dynamic threesome promises to bring just as many exciting initiatives as they did last year to help continue Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta’s legacy as one of the Southeast’s most anticipated and prestigious fundraisers. Benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF), last year’s sold-out event raised $650,000 and donated $.93 out of every dollar to the two organizations. In its history, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country. This year, a small donation will also be made to the Medical University of South Carolina’s Inflammation and Fibrosis Research Center of Excellence.
