Spending the day at the W Atlanta Buckhead is fabulous enough, so how do you elevate up to extraordinary? You spend it with GM Marylouise Fitzgibbon, get a personally guided tour and film it for your own publication! It wasn’t just any Tuesday. The day was filled with fashion and glamour as Marylouise took us on a “W”onderful journey through her most fave places within the hotel.

“This is fashionadoTV”… My producer/cameraman Gil Guillama of Impressions Entertainment got things started in the “Living Room”…

Cook Hall was a learning experience of the yummy kind. It’s a gastropub with an interactive, group activity based cocktail menu… What?? You’ll see this all on fashionadoTV!

Marylouise has many fans but we may be her biggest! Here, the Green Room Agency’s own beauty diva, Nyssa Green is fan drying lashes. Don’ t you just love it! Since Nyssa’s talents are limitless, she made sure that Marylouise was spot on glamorous within all four clothing changes. Nyssa did an excellent job on me too, btw!

Partied (or pretended, it was 3pm) like rock stars at Whiskey Blue. The countdown to the 21st Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares officially began last night as hosts and patrons gathered at Jeffrey Atlanta at Phipps Plaza. Many mark Jeffrey Fashion Cares as the kick off to the Fall fashion season in the south and based by the energy and enthusiasm at the Patron Party, there is no doubt that turning “21″ will be epic! JFC will be held on Monday, August 26th at the American Cancer Society and will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). Caren West PR, as well as the event Co-Chairs, were very tight-lipped about event details which could ONLY mean one thing – BIG, something big is in the works! It’s a tie! It’s a tie! Oh, it’s a tie… AND it’s a tie.

That seemed to be the recurring theme of the evening. A trend started at the beginning of the awards ceremony for the 2013 Southeast Emmys. But hey, the message I took away from all the “ties” is that there’s just that much talent and excellence in the South. So more power to us!

Former WSBTV anchor, Monica Pearson hosted the event and opened with a song. Such a treat!

As always, Monica was engaging, funny and a total pro. [We tweeted throughout the evening and later chatted about fashion- you know- the important stuff, like the beautiful, fitted, orange lace dress she wore and that men should wear proper tuxedo shoes.]

The Southeast Emmy Awards hosted a very well attended crowd at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, Atlanta.

Popular and accessible brands, such as H&M, Victoria’s Secret and Zara, have committed to eco-friendly initiatives that include detoxifying the clothing design process and offering more environmentally friendly clothing options. This fashion evolution gives customers the opportunities to green their wardrobe and live a more responsible lifestyle as well.

Other notable eco-friendly brands include Maiden Nation, Kaight, HELPSY, honest by, and Melissa Joy Manning. Keep in mind that many growing brands are online boutiques that only offer clothes and accessories on the Internet. To ensure a positive shopping and wardrobe greening experience, make sure a website has HTTPS in its website URL and security seals so that you can enjoy a safe online shopping experience. While everyone enjoyed their cocktails, apps, a silent auction and the dynamic opening dance number, it was clear that the successful event had a greater purpose – to raise funds for “Free fab’rik” – a concept store coming this Fall to facilitate disadvantaged women back into a healthy place. Mind, body and soul.

And as for the fashion? Casual yet chic. The White Collection is very wearable by women of varying ages. Skinny jeans with enough stretch to fit your body, beautifully printed tops and strapless dresses in tropical patterns and my fave, the use of chiffon. Sheers are so on trend and elevates the most casual of outfits to a higher plane.
