just Shine Model Search… September 12

James Adam Hill Photography Fashionado, and LUXE Atlanta have teamed up for the

“2009 just Shine Model Search.”

The city of Atlanta and the modeling industry will vote for the top 10 models in Atlanta. These models will participate in a professional fashion shoot, have the opportunity for a ONE-ON-ONE meeting with a Director of Elite Model Management and be featured as a LUXE Atlanta Boutique model.

Calling all men and women, ages 15-24.

Open casting call will begin at 10:00 AM on September 12, 2009 at LUXE-Atlanta and Studio 1*FIVE*0.

Head-shots will be posted on the web for the first round of online voting. The ten chosen will be divided by five public choices, and five modeling industry choices.

Once the ten finalists are chosen, they will receive star treatment as they prepare for a professional fashion shoot at Studio 1*FIVE*0 with James Adam Hill Photography. LUXE-Atlanta, Fashionado and Zonolite Hair Studio will provide wardrobe, accessories, hair and make-up.

After the professional photos are posted, modeling industry professionals will narrow their choice down to one. The winner will be announced on Oct. 21 during an exclusive party at an undisclosed location. The proceeds made from the night will be donated to the “Not For Sale GA,” a charity to end human trafficking.

The Top 10 winners will receive…

- A Professional Fashion Shoot with the STAR treatment

- They will have the opportunity for a ONE-ON-ONE meeting with a Director of Elite Model Management

- Be featured as a LUXE Atlanta Boutique model.

Authentic Beauty More Than Skin Deep

You can complain all you like about the things that bother you, or you can be a part of the solution by doing something about it. Alyson Hoag and Alison Cross, co-founders of Project Authentic Beauty (PAB) are doing exactly that, one girl, man and woman at a time, with a little bit of lipstick. Self confidence, good self-esteem, and a positive self-image are instrumental ingredients for a happy life. Sadly, that’s easier said than done, but, through the efforts of these two dedicated, proactive individuals, they are changing a mindset by empowering girls and women to love themselves.

Join Alyson and Alison, on Thursday August 20th, at the rooftop of the W Buckhead’s Whisky Blue, for a swanky celebration of life, love and lipstick — for a cause. “My greatest hope for PAB is to bring solidarity in our world regarding women and girl’s authentic beauty, where you can feel good and safe exactly as who you are,” says Hoag.

Get to know the wonderful women behind Project Authentic Beauty:

Co-founder Alison Cross is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the mental health field and mother to three young daughters. Fed up with the fact that 40% of nine-year-olds report dieting, she started her business Body, Beauty, and Bravery to teach girls the brave act of loving themselves just as they are. Alison writes and teaches the holistic beauty curriculum.

Co-founder Alyson Hoag is a 20-year veteran makeup artist for celebrities and everyday women. She got tired of hearing her client’s criticisms of themselves in her mirror and started Authentic Beauty, a revolutionary inner-beauty company, as an antidote to the manipulation of the beauty industry that says women are not enough as they are. Aly is a mother to a teenage son and daughter and provides holistic makeup services to PAB outreach.

The event includes tasty nibbles by Urban Flats, cash bar, VIP drink the “lipstick-tini”, silent auction, onsite mini-makeovers, special hotel rates, and lipstick sales (100% proceeds to PAB).
