The Grey is a unique movie experience:  what you expect is not what you get.   Great stories always have a basic human emotion at their core.  Death is inevitable for everyone.  For an audience, this is a powerful emotion and no matter who you are or where you come from death will get you.  The only choice we have is how we face it and more importantly how we live leading up to the final moment.

Underworld: Awakening

Hollywood is not afraid of making sequels.  The fourth installment of the Underworld series is proof that they should be.  The Underworld franchise focuses on a war between vampires and lycans (werewolves).  For hundreds of years, humans have not known these supernatural creatures existed.  Once humans are aware that vampires and lycans are not mythical they wage a war to kill them all.

DRIVE

Earlier this year Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson) took home the best director trophy at the Cannes Film Festival for Drive.  Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine and The Notebook) plays “Driver”.  He is a  mechanic and Hollywood stunt man by day and a wheel man for higher by night.  Driver develops feelings for his neighbor, played by Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan (An Education and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps), and her young son .  Driver must help defend his neighbors from members of a crime syndicate played devilishly by Albert Brooks (Finding Nemo) and Ron Pearlman (Hellboy).
